My blog isn’t big but I thought I’d be a guy and share a bit of my personal life here.

I’ve struggles with not feeling human for a long time. It wasn’t something that made me feel wrong, necessarily, just different. At recess I would pretend to be a plethora of animals.

I remember one day watching a nat geo documentary on the African Sahara. I watched as an African Wild Dog came on screen. I watched it move and hunt and all at once I had a feeling that it was there that I would be at home.

(If you’re wondering, this is what they look like)

As I grew up these animals were on my mind, almost all the time. When I would suddenly get phantom limbs or somehow drift off, I would be reminded of the grace and elegance of these animals.

I grew close with the term “Therianthropy.” I can’t remember where I first saw it— maybe YouTube or Amino. But alas, it resonated with me.

The idea of being inhuman almost felt natural to me.

Growing through the stages— doing quads before my chronic pain got too bad and enjoying the community around it was natural
