Sungyeol had a soft spot when he saw mothers with kids and kids running around. It reminded him of a simpler time. When he wasn’t struggling to exist. When he still was happily married and actually had his daughter around all the time. Lately, he had an arrangement with his parents that allowed him holidays with his daughter, so that was something he supposed. He walked around the mall, debating if he needed new pens for his tablet. That was what he splurged on. His talent. 

Where the hell were they? They were following a path; the same path most of the others took from the prison out into the open. It was an easy path to follow too — simple. Not too complex aside from the woods but it was easy to direct your way out of them and back to the prison. Lori had barely gone on many runs, she only usually went when she needed to get Judith things for her survival or even when she wanted to give Carl something for entertainment — usually some sort of comic book. 

"We didn't even go that far from the prison." She shook her head, looking around, trying to give her brain something to work with; maybe something would make her remember. But there was nothing. They were lost. She huffed in annoyance, it was mid-afternoon and it would be dark any minute now. She had to get home. To her son, her husband and her baby.

"It has to be close by; it has to be. I say we keep moving until we find it; if it gets too close to dark... We'll have to find some sort of shelter." Lori cursed herself. The brunette felt so stupid — getting lost in the Apocalypse; good one. She tried to push her frustrations aside; right now they had to focus on getting home.

There was no set plan, and that worried Grace: being a Ravenclaw meant knowing where you were going and what you were doing. But today, all she knew was that she had to get answers; the locket that also acted as a compass wouldn't stop weighing on her mind, and sitting around the castle turning it over in her palm wasn't helping anyone. She needed a second opinion - someone who knew anything about magical objects of this variety, but her source could not be found within the castle. As talented as some of the students here were, she wanted to be thorough - it had to be done properly. Her mind started going to places she could go, people her family knew, but at the bottom of every source was Knockturn Alley. They had specialists there who made these kinds of things, didn't they? Grace was grabbing her forest-green peacoat and wand before she knew what was happening, her purse slung quickly onto her shoulder along with the rest. Her feet hurried her toward Gryffindor, where she quickly and dismissively gave the password, learning it from Autumn yesterday when they'd come back to her dorm together. But Autumn wasn't her source today: as much as Grace wished that Autumn could help, this was beyond her expertise - she needed someone else from Gryffinfor. 

Sebastian clutched his phone in his hand after Kurt hung up, dropping his head and holding it in both hands, wincing at the still-throbbing pain in his injured right hand. He felt tears burning behind his eyes again, pressing the heels of his hands into them to hold back. He may have already lost most of his dignity just by calling Kurt, but he didn't want to be an embarrassing, sobbing mess when Kurt got here. Of course, his tear ducts had other plans and the tears still fell silently down his face as he waited, looking around every so often in search of Kurt's car. 

It was an adventure that Nolan hadn’t planned on having, but he was going nonetheless. He had never been one to deny a good time, and if it happened to be spent with a young Slytherin girl who happened to be fairly close with his girlfriend, then Nolan definitely wasn’t going to say no. The revelation that Ava had found a room whilst lost that was filled with objects sounded like the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon. Nolan had trained earlier in the day, knocked over all his school work, and now he was left with nothing to occupy his time other than socializing. He’d found Ava, become intrigued, and decided that an exploration of this room was in order. The question of who these objects belonged to was an interesting one, but Nolan figured that if anyone was stupid enough to leave valuables sitting in a room in Hogwarts, they deserved to be taken. Nolan pulled on his boots, grabbed a heavy coat, pocketed his wand, and left, jogging down the stairs of the Ravenclaw Tower several at a time. The castle was fairly quiet, perhaps because most were laying low because of the weather, and Nolan didn’t meet a soul as he climbed the flights of stairs toward the seventh floor.
