Some time had passed since their fight. A couple of weeks? Genos’ track of time often got lost during extensive repairs and upgrades. Being in a dark lab, even with a heads-up-display telling him the time and date, it got rather monotonous. Idle. To the point where he stopped paying attention. Optics refocused themselves in the sunlight, and Genos started his trek. The Association forms had given him enough information to tell him that King lived in M City (he had checked this before leaving Kuseno’s lab), and so that is where he was heading. Not looking for another fight, but to observe the man. The words ‘I don’t deal with kids’ still rang in his mind. He wondered if another run-in would result in his demise, or if a similar sentiment would be expressed. The hero had every chance to kill Genos, and he didn’t. Were the situations reversed, Genos wouldn’t have wasted a second. Entering the outskirts of King’s city of residence, Genos turned his blasters off and switched to walking. While the cyborg was not built to blend into a crowd, he remained as inconspicuous as he could as he made his way about a block away from King’s residence. With his enhanced optics, he would be able to easily see from there any entrances and exits by the hero.Â
