FORG1VEN joins Gambit
Going into the Summer split of LCS our team decided to make a single roster change. Kristoffer "P1noy" Pedersen is relegated to a substitute position, whereas his place on the team will be assumed by Konstantinos "FORG1VENGRE" Tzortziou.
We cannot say that our organization was necessarily dissatisfied with Kristoffer's performance during his time on our starting roster, but there were minor tensions within the team that we hope to alleviate with this roster change. Moreover, an opportunity to seize one of the strongest players in Europe does not present itself every day.
Our team is already participating in scrims in preparation for the split that starts on May 28th.

Danil "Diamond" Reshetnikov - Jungle
Felix "Betsy" Edling – Mid Lane
Konstantinos "FORG1VEN" Tzortziou – AD Carry

Interview with the adorable Danish qtpie AD Carry P1noy form Gambit Gaming
Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Grand Finals [Season 9] CLG vs GMB Game 1
I told myself I wouldn't watch another Gambit game after the original members split up, but during the intro for the IEM Cologne grand finals I heard the name of their ADC: P1noy! Well, I could not NOT watch that!
The casters and analysts all seemed to favor CLG so that kinda bummed me out at the start. But I wanted to know more about GMB's ADC...they were talking about how aggressive he was, and I thought, well, that's a perfect partner for Eddie, right? I was also happy to see that DiamondProX was still their jungler. I crossed my fingers to see his greatness again though I told myself not to raise my hopes up as everyone was saying CLG would win. The lineup: [CLG] Irelia, Elise, Kassadin, Lucian, Janna; [GMB] Gnar, Sejuani (Russia!), Le Blanc, Graves, Thresh. The analysts were saying how Irelia counters Gnar and Lucian was a better choice over Graves. So that was a downer again.
Oh, but was I rewarded! Game 1 started off beautifully with a double kill for Diamond as Sejuani when he ganked mid. He snowballed and got really tanky from there and orchestrated a lot of ganks to keep the Irelia and Kassadin in check. There was a party going on at bot lane as there were a lot of skirmishes that happened there, with GMB's side losing the first few rounds. However! Mid-game, P1noy did show how amazingly aggressive he was and started bursting down Doublelift/Lucian. There was even one cheeky ulti snipe.
The entire game itself was very fun to watch with both teams having nice rotations and showing pro plays. In the end though, with GMB's tanky CC combo of Gnar, Sejuani, and Thresh, and the burst of LeBlanc and Graves, victory was theirs. :)
I am pretty contented with this win but of course I sure wish they would win the series. IEM is, afterall, Gambit's tournament historically. :)
