I tried to watch the Angry Birds movie again but I had to leave after like forty minutes because I realized they were taking a narcissist and putting him in an empathic and prophetic role, as if his contempt for people was the very thing that empowered him to recognize and call out the pigs.

In real life some jubilant person like Chuck or Bomb would stand out, speak up, and help people break out of the matrix. Notice how Chuck was treated as a threat to society, and Bomb pathologized as dangerous. While being such sweet, observant, and inspired people they are outcasts.

But yet Red is presented as a tragic hero for the noble act of pissing in people's faces, all while playing within the lines of society, never egregiously breaking any rules, screwing people over as long as nobody tells on him. (It is for the same reason that narcissists thrive in rule abiding, complacent societies such as the one in the movie, even when they hate the people in it.) And when someone does tell on him he is moved to emotional rehab where he degrades the people there instead.

His defining trait is that he just mopes about how he's "surrounded by idiots" (a hallmark of narcissistic / psychopathic contempt) before his low tolerance for empathy/joy (which he sees as BS) apparently allows him to notice what's really going on because his Sigma cynicism trumps Their rose colored glasses of Soyjak-like optimism. He, the Chad Doomer, and they, the Virgin Bloomers. His edginess and Their cringe. And so on.

Yet still the audience is pressured to believe Red's performance of fake virtue. A performance that appropriates the authentic people that have really stood up against tyrants like the pigs, and for the cause of the oppressed. But this reversal is what it looks like when history is written by tyrants. They frame themselves as the people to look up to, and that 'all birds are needed' only as long as All Birds is themselves. Only as long as they can take on some moral superiority by only authorizing the "[stupid insufferable cosmically annoying] sheeple" to act when in submission to them.

But yet Red is characterized as some tortured revolutionary who has no time for you and is allowed to degrade you however way he wants until there is no such trivial thing called kindness and compassion left in society. A truly empathic and prophetic person would definitely ruffle some feathers and shake things up, as Yahusha did. But that disruption is produced out of love for outcasts (which they are often one of), as well as a desire for justice. Not a bombastic Frank Sinatra ahh narcissist who sets out to glorify himself which somehow paradoxically produces good fruit despite being a poisonous branch.
