Argggg I could talk about this fic all DAY but I think what killed me the most was the fact that big shot era Spamton had to hide all that from Tenna, and the slow build up of it getting worse and the flashback with the other addisons when his car ad played he must have been so FRICKIN MORTIFIED GRAH THE ANGST I CANTTTTT

The passing of time fascinantes him.

Watching how humanity evolves, both for the good and the bad, was something only godly figures could be privy to. Due to their immortality, they get to observe their puny creations develop.

Watching how wooden carriages slowly become metallic contraptions that don't need animals to move, how new ways of communication began to appear and replace letters, it felt strange.

Like he was being left behind in the times of Ancient Greece, being forced to adapt to things he may never get used to. He does not like this feeling. But he can't just take over humanity and force them to keep the ancient methods that would simply not work anymore, because he is no deity.

He is no god.

He is no hero.

He is Nobody.

He is a monster.

And all of the sins and deaths that wrap around his shoulders, that make him hunch over constantly, as if the weight of the world was set on his shoulders, would never let him forget such a thing.
