I don’t really have anything to say to you. Obviously nothing anyone says will change your boorish behavior. So here is a poem I recently found that I like. Maybe it will be more encouragement than I can muster to bring you.

you do not have to be a fire

for

every mountain blocking you.

We were so young. So young, dumb and incredibly stupid but we were in love. You were my very first love and I had wanted you to be my last. I remember the exact moment I had fallen in love with you… We weren’t even dating yet, you were just my dumb older brothers friend and I was just the shy younger sister with a giant obvious crush on you. Luke had been teasing me about that vintage brooch that reminded me of my grandma while the three of us had been out shopping and you must have noticed how much it meant to me because there it was wrapped in a nice box placed on my bed a few days later.

I guess this really gives away who I am, huh? but I don’t care.

You have this whole tough guy facade that you project to the world, but I know you, and I know that you’re more than that. You’re this sweet, caring, softy who occasionally likes to be the little spoon and has the most beautiful goof smile that people can just get lost in. I see you and you’re more than you know, it’s why I had fallen so hard in love with you. You were my protector but you were also my teddy bear. And I miss you.

You will always mean so much to me, more than you know. And I will always love you. I didn’t end things with us because I didn’t. I ended things because I was scared. And maybe it was foolish, but it was the only thought that consumed me after everything that happened. I was so hurt by everyone else in my life that I had convinced myself you would eventually hurt me too, so I ended things before you could. I’m sorry. I know this doesn’t change anything, but I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart.
