#overzealous

I’ve just launched Overzealous on Kickstarter! It's a pen-and-paper solo game about a bunch of overenthusiastic cultists… and you, the god they’ll summon if they can stay focused long enough.

Bickering! Mayhem! Tentacles! Skulls! Graverobbing for fun and profit! Cartoon violence! Way too many candles!

Overzealous is mostly about finding ways to deal with the worst of your followers’ hijinks, whether that’s “religious schism” or “getting way too into blood sacrifice”. Gently shepherd them into manifesting you in their reality, before the cult collapses under the sheer weight of their fervour.

It's been so much fun to playtest this game. I'm very happy with how all the pieces fit together.

It's quick to set up and play, highly replayable, and has quite a strategic depth. Plus there's alternative rules for additional challenge, and a tiny cute printable zine I'm making as a companion piece.
