Gaspard had an unusual gift: a constant connection with the spirit world. More often than not, the power acted as a curse. Unable to sleep in peace for long, a mind filled to the brim with unknown voices and terrified villagers, convinced he was demonic… It wasn’t exactly the life he had imagined for himself as a child. The voices started at the age of 10 and slowly, the strange power grew more and more invasive. Today, he can fully control the spirits’ voices and make connections at will unlike when he was a teenager and the ghosts would possess and speak through him unexpectedly.

Despite his young age, Xavier was never afraid of his rather unusual friend. In fact, he had always been on the collected side. Living in deep poverty will do that to a child. Yet, he still found a way to laugh and have a good time. Gaspard always remained a great guardian to the smaller boy and Xavier returned the care by helping him through the uncontrollable spiritual manifestations. One couldn’t function without the other.
