ok. so. i can definitely appreciate twistings of the central balance of power inherent in every relationship. i can appreciate people wanting to conform to (and, by extension, wanting characters to conform to) standard pop culture gender roles. but if you’re giving the character who’s already in power more power just so they can erase the complexities of any situation they’re in? you may be messing up somewhat
