“Ooooh. Maybe battle plans and... who they’re going to kill next?!? Uhhh…”

N’ei smiled at that. “Oooh that sounds dangerous!”

“Yeah it sure does.” R’ouros blinked.

I wonder if they will let me hunt with them.” N’ei said dreamily with glitter in her eyes.

“If you get put in a mission with them... maybe!” He looked to them. “Okay but what are they talking about? I can hear them saying something.”

Both Sun Seekers go quiet to eavesdrop on the Elezens’ conversation.

“—spears—“ Was the one word the eavesdroppers managed to catch.

“I knew it!!!” Declared R’ouros. “Battle plans!”

A few minutes earlier...

Silianaux and Nalin stood quietly for a few moments, guarding sternly before thoughts went through Nalin’s mind. Thoughts he decided to share.

“... hey... you have a handicap.” Nalin pointed out to the blind Silian.

“Jee, sorry to hear that.“ The blind Elezen dragoon expressed his deepest most sincere sympathy to himself, or at least tried to make it look like he was doing it.

“Brother. What if I also obtained one?” Nalin expressed with worry.

“Is that a request?”

“No I’m serious! What if one day... I lost my legs.” Nalin frowned.

“Well—“

Nalin gasped suddenly. “What if we both lost our legs?!”

Silian released a deep sigh. “Listen, Nalin, if that happened, we could but simply craft replacements!”

“Replacements?”

“Think about it. I’m a blacksmith. I could craft…” He paused to think. “...spears!! And attach them to our leg stumps.

“Spears?”

“Spears.”

Later that day, Silian bolted into the manor front yard, carrying something giant and dangerous looking in both of his large hands. He was announcing loudly that he had found something, before he accidentally misjudged the distance between he and Nalin, and slammed into his twin dragoon who was in the midst of training, and tumbled down onto the lawn with him.

Nalin shouted “STOP RUNNING WHEN YOU’RE BLIND!!!!” He shoved him off immediately then stood up and froze when he saw it. “Is that-“

Silian stood up after and faced him. “SPEARS!” While holding four deadly spears, two in each hand.

Nalin expressed with exasperation. “You we’re running and holding four spears while BLIND?!?!”

“Listen Nalin!!! I bought these off of the market board. I have been inspired! We must have spear legs NOW!” Silian was bursting with excitement.

“I am NOT cutting off my legs for you!”

“No no!! I mean... we could make our legs LONGER!”

Nalin’s irises quickly grew several times in size.

The next evening, the giant namazu effigy on the front lawn had been slashed to shreds, it’s face sagging and unfortunate. The fire that was sitting beneath it had been scattered about, and promptly put out as was evident by the black burnt patches here and there. Slashed patches of grass that stretched in every direction were none too scarce. To top it all off, for some peculiar reason, four of the trees in the yard each had one single very long spear with what was presumably some sort of extension meant for a foot attached to them, dangling from the branches.

Caoimhe stared the two dragoons down as they stood across from her before the massive destruction they wrought. She spoke through barely contained rage. “I don’t know if knowing what happened will make this any better, but... my curiosity is going to destroy me, so: WHAT. HAPPENED?!?”

Silian and Nalin’s gestures mirrored each other as they pointed blame on one another. “HE DID IT!”

Inside the house, things were much less tense. The two Sun Seekers who earlier observed the two Ishgardians were sitting in the kitchen snacking on something they bought from a vendor.

“The Twin Dragoons certainly made a lot of noise.” R’ouros stated. “What do you think they’re doing?”

“Something enigmatic most certainly!” N’ei replied.

“Yeah! After all they are sooo cooool!” R’ouros joined in on being in awe of them.

“They truly are!!!“ N’ei’s said as her eyes glittered.
