EARTH DAY 2020 Despite being physically apart, I feel a strong connection to humanity right now. Do you feel that too? We are all experiencing Covid19 differently, but all have the same goals- to be safe & healthy & ensure our loved ones are too. It's in our nature to nurture & protect. Earth is our common home. 🌎❤️ It's overwhelming to think about mass extinction of species, catastrophic pollution of oceans, destruction of communities & displacement of millions... I get it. But this time is offering us a chance to imagine a better future for our planet. We can't be out in the streets protesting for #climatejustice this #earthday2020 , but we can still use our voices & take action in other ways: - Share your Earth love & support today on social media. - Write to your MP. Our government is dealing with a crisis, yes, but the climate crisis is ongoing too. - Create some art for #artforearth at @world_wildlife . Today's theme: One Planet. - Look up some delish plant based meals to incorporate into your weekly meals. - Use the Earth Challenge 2020 app to gather critical environmental data near you. - Change your bank to one that doesn't invest in fossil fuels. Today we celebrate 50 years since the first #EarthDay was held on April 22, 1970. Before that there was no Environmental Protection Agency, no Clean Air Act, & no Clean Water Act. I'm so grateful to those who fought for environmental justice & hold polluters accountable. 💪👏🙌🌍 . . . #ourcommonhome #apartbutconnected #coviduk #fightclimatechange (at Our Beautiful Planet) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_R6kGRH4nT/?igshid=v4fbna6ocftw
