Hello! We’re back! Wyatt and I have been traveling around to California and Colorado, but we’re back now with some really unique and totally gorgeous knife rolls. This “Seafoam” stain came out incredible! This color and other new stains were just listed on the site today. As always, these rolls are made with total consideration for the environment and the animal. All of our leather is a byproduct from humanely raised free-roaming French beef cattle. These hides are then naturally tanned using chestnuts in Tuscany, Italy. While we were searching for the best and cleanest leather in Italy, we met a group of women who told us about their “bio-suede” made in a small, responsible tannery in Portugal. La Royale Chef's Knife Roll. The rich, deep red stain on this Italian leather roll is achieved over many days of application. The stain is custom mixed in our studio (very similar to the blend we use for our Black Cherry oven mitts, but with a little more warmth). The interior leather is a stunning steel gray color. These hides are custom made for us at an eco-conscious tannery in Portugal that turns waste from the tanning process into fertilizer. Entirely stitched by hand and adorned with solid brass hardware.
