The throwing in eden's garden randomly is funny as hell actually, I have a friend who could go nuts on this idea I think, I should send this to her she's like the best of the best when it comes to ouharu content. This is funny as hell though, world's greatest spy is like 5'1 thats amazing. Canon Fueled Facts:

At the beginning of V3, neither of them really interact much and seem mostly neutral with each other. However, in the very 1st class trial, Kokichi remarks that Maki easily looks like she can kill someone, only for Maki to simply wave him off. This implies that Kokichi had a hunch about Maki's secret from the start.

Another point worth noting is when Kokichi argues against Kaede about strong arming everyone during the Death Road of Despair situation, Maki seems to agree with his point of view.

When it's officially revealed that she's an assassin, he refers to her as "killer girl" and says it's best to avoid her. Despite provoking her often, he immediately stops when she shoots him with a death glare. However, at the end of the 3rd class trial, Maki says that she'll work hard to gain everyone's trust, which seems to genuinely and pleasantly surprise Kokichi.

However, the more antagonistic Kokichi is towards the group (especially towards Kaito) and eventually claims to be the mastermind, Maki starts being incredibly hostile towards him and promises to take him down, even if she and the rest of the group have to go down with him.

After Kokichi's death, Maki seems to go back to simply viewing him as a strange, confusing, and troublesome person. She also asks Shuichi's opinion about Kaito's trust in Kokichi to end the killing game.

Bonus material:

In Kokichi's relationship chart, Maki says that he looks like a short villain, and in Maki's chart, Kokichi says that hiding is useless (referring to her secret identity as an assassin.)

In UTDP, Kokichi lies to Akane, telling her that Maki enjoys fighting. When Akane brings this up to Maki, she says exasperatedly that Akane has been lied to. In this universe, Maki seems to not have as strong of resentment towards him. Showing that if Kokichi didn't lie about being the mastermind and wasn't so antagonistic towards Kaito, there would be no hostility between the two of them.

In DRS, when the countdown to everyone killing each other is almost over, Kokichi says that things are getting excited, which concerns and confuses her.

Headcanons:

Tend to butt heads often.

It's challenging for either of them to open up to others, and it takes a while for them to do so, but in the end it's what helps bring them closer together.

Maki can frighten Kokichi, but because of her daunting nature, she is his go-to person for dealing with anybody mistreating him.

They are both skilled runners so Kokichi would enjoy Maki chasing after him.

Kokichi would wake Maki up for her attention and affection, and while she would react groggily at first, she would welcome them cuddling together. Both of them find the warmth and closeness comforting.

Beneficial Similarities:

They possess clever, quick-witted minds and are particularly skilled at puzzles and mysteries. Maki would be a worthy opponent for Kokichi's mind games.

Complementary strengths:

Maki would likely be able to get Kokichi to settle down when he goes too far. She can keep him grounded when needed (most of the time anyway.)

Though Kokichi sometimes goes too far, in the end, he would likely want Maki to unwind and have some fun.
