OK so, I'm catching up with doctor who (I got really behind but I want to catch up to see thirteen) and I've gotten to a line from the twelfth doctor about how he lived with otters for a month because he and River had a fight and I find this thought hilarious and couldn't find anyone discussing it that much so I want to put into words why I love this line so much:
1. I can honestly just picture eleven venting to the otters over this and he gets to the part where he says something that indicates that it wasn't all her fault (cuz most arguments have fault on both sides) and he just stares at the otter and says "oh shut up!"
2. I love River and all mention of her makes me smile
3. WHY THE HELL DID HE NEED TO LIVE WITH OTTERS ANYWAYS?!? IT'S NOT LIKE THEY LIVED TOGETHER AND THE ALTERNATIVE WAS THE COUCH! THE ALTERNATIVE WAS HIM CONTINUING TO TRAVEL WITHOUT HER AND THEY DIDN'T TRAVEL TOGETHER CONSISTANTLY ALMOST EVER SO WHY DID HE GO TO THE OTTERS?! AND WHY OTTERS? WAS THIS A FIGHT SPECIFICALLY ABOUT OTTERS?! OR MAYBE IT WAS ABOUT PILOTING THE TARDIS AND THEY ENDED UP NEAR OTTERS AND SHE TEASED HIM ABOUT IT AND HE SAID "YEAH WELL I MEANT TO DO THAT!" BEFORE JUST SITTING THERE FOR AN ENTIRE F*CKING MONTH!!!
Like normally when you have a fight you just need space! Good thing he's got a tardis, he could go anywhere! But no, just sit there with otters for a month?!? WHY?! 😂🤣😂
