I picked up a proof spread of my upcoming risograph zine Otter Days from Colour Code on Wednesday and am finally getting around to posting it for everyone else to see!

I couldn’t be more thrilled with how well the colours turned out, and the texture added to the image thanks to the riso process is making me VERY HAPPY. I predict many more riso projects in my future!

I’ll be selling the zine on July 23rd at the Summer (he)Arts Fair in Oshawa (click for more info) and, once the Canada Post lockout/labour dispute is settled, online via my webshop. Oh! And I’ll also have these for sale at Canzine Toronto on Saturday, October 29th (alongside my latest illustrated novella, which will be showing up on this blog again soon)!

Some updates on my Otter Days zine - I’m thisclose to being done the inking phase...just need to paint a few more tangles of seaweed and then scan all 10 spreads and then get into doing colour separations on photoshop (insert dramatic collapse onto fainting couch now).
