what's affirming as a phytanthrope
making this as sort of a resource (you can alter and apply it to other phytantypes), sort of a documentation, and sort of a way to brainstorm things i haven't done before! it's also practice for making a similar thing for my linktype that i don't really know how to go about linking yet.
i am a coast redwood phytanthrope and have a redwood sorrel paratype because of it!

have you a tip to recognize if ur a robotkin. i thinks i am.. (that’s pretty good evidence-) RENE DECARTES ?!?-?-??2?1?1? *coughs* anyways yeah
Honestly, it mostly depends on the person and their experience, so I can’t speak for everyone. Whatever the “robot” is in robotkin for you varies a LOT, seeing as it can range from computers and androids to transformers and war mechs lmao.
I will say this though - when I started to discover I was robotkin, I found that I felt more aligned with myself when I imagined myself with robotic parts (like wires, antennae, monitor head, etc) and/or a robotic system. I also feel most comfortable when around other devices, taking part in things involving robotics/programming, and using “robotic” terms when talking. Funnily enough, being a robotkin for me also came with an attraction to robots and technology, but this in no way means a robotkin has to be attracted to devices or robots to be a robotkin.
Obviously, what all of this means to a person is again different for everyone, and it doesn’t immediately make someone a robotkin. If it makes you feel comfortable in your heart, and that’s who you feel like you are, go for it. Nobody knows how it’s like to be you better than you do. 💙🖥️⚙️
( ♡ ) here we go, shapeshifterkin tips that aren’t just « buy lots of gear » and aestheticized consumption.
I keep messaging my friends with my only my ever growing collection of dog stickers, no words or text, just stickers. And it just feels very euphoric because it’s communicating like a dog to other beings, no similar too I see it as because I just pick the sticker closest to what I want to convey and hope it’s perceived correctly, it’s very fun and if you should try it, examples below the cut,
The artists of the fox is @/kasuuuya13 on twitter, unfortunately I can’t find the artist for the border collie if you know who drew it please let me know so I can add it on.

hiiii i'm an enderman otherkin and i saw a post you made about tips/advice for other alterhumans and was wondering if you could make an enderman one? i want to do more things that help connect me ^^ thank you if you do it!! :3
Hello sorry that this is super late!! I can certainly try to come up with some ^^. I hope ya see this, and again sorry its late ^^; 1} Try either wearing black or white! Black if you wanna be more recognizable! I mention white as in minecraft if you do spectator and look threw the eyes of enderman, you see enderman as white! 2} Maybe try purple contacts? 3} Try to collect things. or move things around!! 4} Practice enderman vocals!! 5} Going back to the 3rd point, try making minecraft blocks out of cardboard and move those around!! 6} Make or get ender pearl either keychains or necklaces or really anything and carry those around!! 7} If possible, try to get or make enderman plushies! 8} Get or make things that remind you of either the end, minecraft over world, or the warpped forest from the nether! 9} Try to draw yerself or get someone to draw you!! 10} Make a minecraft skin of yerself! 11} Try painting yer nails black!! Or white! 12} Maybe wear purple jewelry or things in general to signify the purple particles!! This is all i could come up with for now! If anyone has other suggestions please leave them below or in reblogs!! This was really fun for me to think about as i love enderman!! Gallops away!!
This may have been obvious to everyone else but I’ve only just realized makeup is great when it comes to being alterhuman and plural.
I don’t like that humans- especially afab ones- are expected to wear makeup at times, which is probably why we’re only just now getting into it since we rejected it as a requirement, but it’s actually very fun when it’s something you’re doing for yourself.
It can help you look different from the other inhabitants of the body and help make you look more nonhuman. My recommendations are glittery or chrome makeup (we recently got a chrome eyeliner that I adore) and brightly colored eyeshadow, but I’m still quite new to this and I’m sure what your kintype is will change what kind of makeup makes you feel euphoric (if you even feel like makeup helps with your kintype, I don’t think it’ll help everyone.).
Food for other nonhumans/otherkin (no kibble mouthfeel edition)
My 'types (that I included things for): house centipede, raven, boogieman, zombie
Edible spray foam for snail eggs?? Look for candy foam like Foam-O or Boom Foam. Ive seen both sweet and sour flavors and they're not as uncommon to find in stores as you'd think! Im a house centipede so I crave these, but other creatures who eat snail eggs include: ducks, robins, chickens, toads and frogs, turtles, garter snakes, catfish, etc. Lots of creatures eat snail eggs!!
Crave roadkill but dont like sloppy Joe's or beef jerkey (or meat in general)? Celery has that stringy texture if you're looking for that, and I also really love pomegranates for the feeling of pecking out little pieces, and they've got a very satisfying crunch.
If you DO like sloppy Joe's, they're also good for zombiekins. Im also very interested in brain-shaped jello and i really want to make some
For fellow boogiemen (boogiemans?) or anyone else who eats dreams and/or fear, whipped cream and that spray foam i mentioned earlier are very good to simulate that kind of thing. My partner also recommended sour rainbow belts (gay bacon iykyk)
Vampires, you can use lots of things to simulate blood, from red kool-aid to vegetable smoothies, but my partner's (vampire) favorite by far is code red mountain dew. Says the fizz reminds him of the energy in the blood?? I could imagine any red soda would work the same
