Old Design vs New Design Jie Takei

Captain Jie Takei is the leader of the S-Team and the Main Protagonist from O-S, and his original name is Jarashi until I changed it to Hideki Takeshi who is the leader of the Yora X team, since the original concept of O-S dates back to my highschool years when I was 13 yrs old from Holy Spirit School and was named Yora X bc I used to read and watch Shonen Jump anime and mangas but unfortunately they're not available bc I threw the mangas out due to my obsession of animes and mangas and it was my mistake I should've kept them since my older brother bought it for me. So Hideki was inspired by Gintoki Sakata from parts of his personality from his wiki, "He characterized by a duality. He can be seen as a seemingly lazy, cowardly, and often sarcastic character in comedic situations. However, in serious arcs, he displays unwavering determination and a willingness to sacrifice everything for those he cares about." Which is something about Hideki I wrote in the past that was related to him being actually strong and kind to his fellow Yora X teammates, he almost gets into trouble and goes on a mission to save his prefecture Osaka, from Japan, from monsters who invade his home.

Originally Yora X is supposed to be similar to shonen with R16 action since Gintama is rated 16 but with a sprinkle of comedy similar to the anime and manga, however ever since I've fully watched Neon Genesis Evangelion in 2017, where I was invested in the sci-fi lore, psychological aspects of the show and complex characters which is why I shifted from comedy to sci-fi, psychological, horror and action. I decided throughout the years to give them a modern look set in 2045 and I decided that Jie will be in his late 20's by making him 26 yrs old since his OG age is in his younger adult years by the age of 20. His personality was changed from almost being a copypaste of Gintoki since his OG personality does not suit him in my redesign to him being a caring, fearful, insecure but still a determined adult man trying to rescue his parents by becoming a soldier and captain to prove his worth of being a leader but also questions what exactly his purpose his life and how does he fulfill his real purpose in life.

Lastly for his OG design, he looks like a young adult except he has a twink body and he was the tallest of his teammates and he had blonde hair and brown eyes and I described him from the past as being handsome, so in my redesign I decided to give him gold hair, blue eyes, a normal muscular body to make him look like an older figure to his teammates, black jacket with ribbon and removed his OG ribbon tie and blue shoes, in order to make him look attractive but also make him down to earth and relatable and I removed his wooden sword including his holster that is similar to Gintoki's weapon since O-S does not live in an old period where fantasy elements happened like in my OG version where the big sakura tree was used as a portal for transportation or teleportation since O-S became sci-fi.

Old Design vs New Design Hiromi Honoka

Hiromi Honoka of the S-Team and the Deutoragonist of O-S, her original name is Sakura Gentoki, and her age is origjnally in her 20's like Hideki Takeshi, her personality and her characteristics consists of her being a headstrong woman but she also has a violent personality when it comes to people annoying her most especially Hideki or people that harass her and that she was inspired from Gintama female characters such as parts of of her personality came from Shimura Otae and a part of it was also Kagura, but despite her scary attitude, she's also caring for her teammates and also does her best to make sure her team is safe and while she has feelings for Hideki she still sees her as her friends. She is also a powerful warrior and being part of the Stick Family which consists of her weapons of sticks that is inspired by Arnis, and her original design is her wearing a red striped headband, pink tank top and short white shorts with purple belt, black weapon strap holster, red shoes and her outfit color is bright.

The reason I decided to redesign her was due to the fact my ideas change throughout the years since I decided to make my work from fantasy and comedy to sci-fi. So I retain some parts of her design but I decided to make her hair color beige bit brighter and maker her design look more mature since my issue with the male characters having the same build of twinks, as for the female characters they have big boobs and that's not to say I can't give my other female characters have big boobs but I want to try and make variety in designs. So I gave Hiromi a normal bust and gave her bermuda shorts since this is based from my usual outdoor occasions of me wearing bermuda shorts since it's rare for anime girls to wear bermuda shorts as their official outfit since most of the shorts I researched for anime girls wear shorts that are more shorter, and I made some parts of the outfit darker color to balance with Hiromi's bright beige hair color, and she's also holding her favorite lollipop. As for her age btw she's 24 and she's considered to be a pretty woman.

And for her personality I decided to base her from Helen Parr from the Incredibles that showcases her caring for her loved ones but also doesn't have a problem to call people out for their actions and want what's best for them and a part of Hiromi was based from me that will be revealed in the future someday. I removed her being a yaoi fangirl since I think it doesn't fit her for who she is, and her dream job was originally that she used to be a dietitian since she worked in the Hospital, considering she also helps the elderly most especially her parents health and diet, but due to stressful hours and being unsatisfied from her job she quit and decided to try and worked for a maid cafe but bc she was unable to speak up due to the harassment she received and until she received the worst trauma she experienced she decided to quit her job and was depressed and traumatized and unable to leave her room. It took her long enough to recover and as her friend, Jie, wanted to become a soldier to rescue his parents she was hesitated by Jie's decisions including her parents bc they were worried that Jie might not returned or end up dead and it made Jie and Hiromi argue about his decision. As Jie pleads, she and her parents decided they agreed with Jie's decision and Hiromi warns him that he can't do this alone and that he needs someone to guide him and that once he rescued his parents they needed to find other jobs that will help them bc they can't last forever being a soldier. Hiromi is like Jie as they were finding their real purpose and jobs of what suits them best and for who they are.

Fun Fact Hiromi's fav sweets is Lollipop but she doesn't eat it regularly.

Old Design vs New Design Yuki Moto

Yuki Moto is the 3rd member of the S-Team from O-S while Hiromi is the second member of the team, in his original design was a green hoodie with striped design with light green designs while the hoodie and the ends where dark green, and the pants were green and had white sneakers, and his hair is light yellow and he had perm hair that I based it off on Gintoki Sakata, his OG name is Yuki Kazahaya and he's in his 20s, his attitude is similar to Shinpachi Shimura were in this case Yuki is shown to be a caring person but gets angry easily when there are situations that are unfair to him whether it's his friends or enemies he faced, although he was physically weak which is why he often plans to run away from situations he can't handle that's why the Yora X team saved his ass all the time but I also planned him in the future to get more stronger since his weapons is consists of turtle bombs, but that was scrapped. But there could be a possibility that his choice of weapons may be used once my project gets green lit in the future.

Since in the redesign I made for Yuki Moto, I gave him a dark green hoodie jacket with a lime coloured design and gave him brown khaki pants to make his bottoms distinguished from his upper clothes. And I decided to make his hair coloured more lighter lime green and eyes more visually red to represent his temperamental personality, and I decided to combine his white sneakers with chucks since Last Sunday I've shown to my older relative my work and he suggested to give him chucks so I did, and for his body type I made him lean underneath his hoodie since his original design has the same body type of a twink like Hideki did. As for his personality I made him more angry and sarcastic since he was suffering from a breakup from his ex girlfriend who cheated on him with his friend which is why he had trust issues and biased worldview in regards to romantic relationships with women, plus he's shown to be smoking to ease his stress due to his busy job being a teacher in high school, while his younger sister teaches in elementary, but instead also causes him to have mood swings, and since his family was unaware of his smoking habits, which in the future work I will make, bc this is in regards to Hiromi Honoka who used to be an ex dietitian as she will be concerned for his health, and he also is prone to getting into physical fights with people he had issues with which resulted him being constantly scolded by his Dad and his younger sister concerned about his safety.

Since Yuki in the OG Yora X used to be the eldest brother while his sister Ayumi Kazahaya is the oldest sister that I based it from the Shimura sibling dynamics with Ayumi being based on Otae being the scary sister she is, that she also used to beat up Hideki all the time that Yuki wants her to stop, which is why the gag that I used when I was a minor did not aged well which is why Ayumi was changed to being Yoko Moto, the youngest sister while Yuki Moto is the oldest brother in reverse, she will be a kind teacher that she was inspired by her mother who used to be a teacher but also cares about the well-being of her students and also was part of tutoring students who have issues with their studies and unfortunately being looked down upon by other teachers for not being smart like other kids including her caring for her older brother Yuki and she was concerned for him wanting to leave teaching and pursue his career of being a soldier, since Yuki doesn't want to be a teacher anymore and his father prevented him from being a soldier due to his aunt died in the last operation and his mother died in the car accident when she wanted to present her son the gift for his birthday when he was a kid. This causes Yuki to missing both his aunt and Mom as he was deeply depressed for years since he used to have happy memories alongside his sister and his Dad. Considering he was inspired to be a soldier like his aunt who used to be a leader to her sister who is his Mom and her Husband who is his Dad, but still Yuki wants to prove to his Dad that he can survive and he will not end up like his Aunt as he wanted to honour the family's legacy of being part of the military, O-S. Plus even if he didn't want to be the leader of the S-Team he had trust issues most especially with Yukisa and Jie that he has a highest form of expectation of Jie of having the need to prove to be a leader and being the Captain while Yukisa wanted to prove she's capable of being the best soldier of the group despite she's the youngest. Since Yuki is 21 yrs old.

Fun Fact, the reason why Yuki and Jie have the same ribbon on their hoodies bc they bought from the same store that will be revealed in the future once they saw each other's causal outfits for the first time.

Old Design vs New Design Yukisa Ii

Yukisa Ii is the last and 4rth member of the S-Team from O-S, as for her original design her name was Suki, she had black eyes and she wore a red Chinese Cheongsam, she wears both bun covers on the sides of her black hair and she also had a braided hairstyle with pink ribbon and she wore black boots. Her age was originally 13 yrs old and I decide to base her character originally from Kagura from Gintama who also wore the same Chinese attires and I based some parts of her personality from the same character who was characterized as known for eating way too many foods and Suki like eating rice balls, while she's shown to be cute and friendly she has no problem getting into violent fights like Kagura does. But not all of Kagura's personality was ingrained into Suki. Also her abilities were also just as powerful just like Kagura who was part of the Yato Clan and Suki is from the Magi Clan, while Kagura is part of the Yato Clan before she became part of The Yorozuya group, Suki left the Magi Clan to become part of the Yora X group, but she still has connections and alliance with her family clan.

Fic: A Dream of Twilight

Mother smiles at her, soft and warm. Then, she drops the fruit on a plate and slips into her sandals and begins to walk – out of the yard, out of the dojo’s entrance, and out onto the street. Tae mimics her actions and hurries to catch up with her. But the distance seems to stretch before her, no matter how fast she walks or tries to run. She cries out to Mother, tears stinging the corners of her eyes, watching Mother’s long hair sway in the breeze. The horizon grows wider and darker, as Mother shrinks smaller and smaller until she disappears. She never looks back.

Summary: Tae wonders about the future and what she wants from herself while dealing with a sad, recurring dream about her mother.
