I’ve been taking a few minutes to ponder over it and if it isn’t offending to ask, are Osprey and Pebble romantic or just platonic? I struggle to understand context clues sometimes is all.
Just platonic! Ospreymask is a big proponent of fucking your friends. They may enjoy doing some romantic things together but they have no interest in being a romantic couple.

Ospreymask kittens soon!! I know a while back ago you said that Ospreymask and Branchbark were going to become a bit more plot revenant, so I'm really excited to see where this leads! What are your clans views on cross-clan relationships? I know they're chill about cats having kits with those outside the clan, but they seem less okay with medicine cats having kits, so I'm curious about their overall views are on cross-clan stuff!
Man, I swear I've answered this before but I searched and searched and couldn't find the asks in question so I don't blame you for not finding them either.
Basically, loyalties are the main priority when judging a relationship's validity. Relationships with cats in your Clan are fine because there isn't a conflict of interest there.
As is stated in the books or possibly official supplemental material, Healers are forbidden from having mates at all because they're supposed to stay unbiased when it comes to healing and avoid distractions like raising a family. Whether or not that's valid reasoning is up for debate but that's the reason for the rule.
Relationships with outsiders are okay as long as there are no conflicting loyalties and are often necessary to inject new blood into a Clan, or to bolster numbers after something like the Red Gut. Cats are encouraged to either convince their mate to join or to cut ties with them after the kits are conceived to preserve their loyalties like was demonstrated with Russetfrond and Mystique.
Now when it comes to Half-Clan relationships, these are still forbidden but pregnant cats are also not under any obligation to divulge the identity of the sire so hypothetically if no one can prove your mate was from another Clan and your loyalties to the Clan aren't compromised in any other way there's no official punishment. Cats like Sagetooth are going to give you side eye but that's all it will be until there is any clear proof of code breaking.
So, as long as Ospreymask doesn't get caught boning Pebblefall and she doesn't let their relationship compromise her ability to theoretically fight SkyClan in the future and she doesn't tell her kits they're Half-Clan, then there won't be any repercussions! Easy, right? haha
I love how Ospreymask has been mostly a background character until now, and then suddenly her POV reveals that she’s had her own stuff going on this whole time. I absolutely LOVE that, you’ve definitely made it feel like everyone in RisingClan is their own person with their own unique story, even if we don’t get to see it.

Actually that does bring up the question
When picking the half-clan mate for Osprey, did you pick mostly/entirely based on when would make the kittens make sense primarily, or did you pick a good cat then change the kittens later on to make sense? A mix of both?
I think you're saying did I pick Pebblefall because they made sense genetically with the kittens or did I pick a character who made sense in the story and then change the kittens to match them genetically.
And the answer is the former. I didn't change the kits to match their sire, I chose Pebblefall because they both made sense genetically and also made sense with Ospreymask. Lucky for me though, Osprey's litter was pretty easy to figure out for reasons I can expand on once they're born.

I love all the moons a lot but for some reason this one specifically might be one of my favorites (probably next to when GoldScorch kinda got together and every Fogpaw ones bc I love her). Something about the relaxed real but calm feeling. It feels even more than usual like we are her and this is how she is if that makes any sense at all? I also really enjoy her view and explicitly wanting motherhood compared to the other shows of it we’ve gotten so far. I really like it! I did immediately get the fear that it may not go as planned though so if anything happens to her/any possible kittens due to the birth/pregnancy this will be a very sad update in possible hindsight :(
If it’s all good then yippee! Would like to see her as a parent I think she’d be good but sorta odd in a way? Idk how to explain it but I think she’d create really eccentric characters through her parenting lol
Thanks! I agree, I wanted to make sure that there were a variety of opinions on parenthood in the story. Unexpected or unwanted pregnancies are fun drama but I don't want to make it seem like pregnancy is bad in and of itself. Ospreymask is really looking forward to pregnancy and I think that's a fun space to explore, especially since I don't feel the same at all haha
I hope Ospreymask gets those kits she wants. Yes, partially because I also love seeing new kits, but also because she deserves to fulfill her desire to start a family.
