"It starts with a needle and thread"

Where is she? All her senses are numb, except for someone singing a song into her right ear. The voice sounds familiar but she can't quite place it.

The song is abruptly interrupted by a loud knocking on metal, somewhere above her, or is it behind her?

"Not now!" the voice besides her shouts.

The numbness begins to dawn on her as she realises she doesn't remember how to open her eyes, in fact she cannot remember or feel any part of her body.

"Yes now." a deep voice, seemingly coming out of the metal, says, followed by another bang. "Extus needs to be kept up to date, that was the deal."

"Ugh, fine!" the voice besides her responds before a loud thunk resonates inside her head, which is the last she heard for a very long time.
