Infernum Archive July 9 2026
I doubt anyone will see these but I figure it’s a good a place as any to start archiving lore for stuff I’ll probably never utilize in my comics.
Deep Purple and Feral Fathers happen in the same universe. It is an alternate earth where various creatures live underground in a world they call the Infernum. Several different biospheres are connected by tunnels dug by The Infernum’s oldest residence, the Dreamwigs.
Dreamwigs are insectoids who have protected the tunnels since the early days. They use their psychic abilities to give those with clairvoyance guidance through dreams. How they keep the tunnels hidden is creating illusions that trick those who don't have an open third eye.
Those born in Infernum are called Hellites while humans who are turned are called The Bestowed. Hellites originated from the first monsters born at the birth of Earth, they evolved to higher consciousness and have their own moral code.
Bestowed: Vampires, Werebeasts, Undead
Vampires: Undead that specifically need blood or essence to survive, in this universe there are variations that vary through ailment to bloodline. Hellite variations have unique adaptations and markings. Bloodline Vampires have naturally paranormal abilities while those with infections that are biologically engineered have their own complications as well as benefits.
Werebeasts: Humans that change form, their forms vary according to bloodline, curse or spiritual connection to their respective faiths. Wendigo, Skinwalkers and Polymorphs are part of this group for the time being.((Might change later))
Undead: Revived bodies that have to eat flesh or souls to survive, their abilities and body mutations differentiate them from vampires as well as their behavior. The types include: Ghouls, Zombies and Manufactured Living Corpses.
Above ground there are creatures called Guardian Beasts that have served the Gods to protect Humans and Hellites alike. Some are born as naturally born creatures while others are humans that have been turned by their patrons. Some of these are werebeasts, vampires and undead but also are often unique creatures of their own origins.
