Here is the final copy of an old drawing of Cadet Miles, complete with what some online friends have already labeled as “Resting Commander Face”, finalized over the span of a weekend in GimpShop.

MY NOTES:

If my boi doesn’t look exactly like a baby Daniel Logan yet, that’s because I’m still a kriffing novice at drawing, and therefore intend to novice my way through the artistic galaxy until I can’t novice no more.

If he doesn’t look like one of the Brians from my grade school class, on the other hand, THAT’S 100% on purpose! 😜

Here's a piece of a wip that I am attempting to write in its entirety before starting to share chapters. But I'm not sure how long I can resist the temptation 😂 This is some whump aftermath for a fellow whump fan ;)

Corporal Kix finally manages to pin ARC Fives, both troopers breathing heavily from nightmare-fueled terror and exertion. "You're alright, vod. They're alright," the medic murmurs gently. ARC Fives' eyes are wild in the gloom. "Grabby Bastard's dead," ARC Fives rasps. "Made fucking sure of it." Starbeam exchanges glances with Wist and Flyby. ARC Fives had been covered in the Arkanian's blood when he'd freed them. Though the man hadn't breathed a word as to the events that occurred whilst he was separated from them. Corporal Kix snorts. "Of course you called him that," he says with fond amusement. "You're shit with names you know." The protest from the ARC is weak. Reminiscent of a well worn argument. He sags a little under the medic. "My name is great, thank you very much." "An incredible imagination," the medic says dryly. The ARC manages to dislodge an arm from Corporal Kix's grasp and half-heartedly flaps a hand at him. "Shush." Corporal Kix raises an eyebrow. "Any other inspired names from your recent adventure?" Starbeam can't help but lean forward with burning curiosity as to their officer's experience of what they went through. He shouldn't be listening in, but he knows that Corporal Kix is fully aware they're there. Surely ARC Fives does too? "Not if you're going to be like that," ARC Fives says, on the verge of petulant. Starbeam has to muffle his laugh with a hand. The medic flicks ARC Fives lightly on his cheek. "Alright, alright," the ARC grumbles. "I also had Unscrupulous Arsehole" -and Starbeam immediately has an unpleasant flashback to the Palliduvan- "and more recently, Clingy Sap; a medic that can't help but pounce on unsuspecting sleeping vode and belittle them about their fabulous naming ability." "Prick," Corporal Kix says, sliding his weight off of ARC Fives. "Wanker," the ARC retorts. This time, Starbeam can't catch his laughter in time, Flyby trying to unsuccessfully muffle his own in Starbeam's shoulder.
