A long time later, I stumbled upon a comment saying that Harry Styles had been rude by mispronouncing Shawn's name, making it seem like he had minimized him. I was a teenager and very protective of him, so I wanted to see what had happened, and I could only laugh when I watched the Sara Lee video. It wasn't offensive like they made it out to be, but Harry was really funny. I ended up watching his other SNL videos and realized he was very charismatic. After that, I don't know what happened, but my first concert ever was Harry, and nowadays I'm a bigger fan of Harry than Shawn. I knew I had fallen for his charms when I prioritized Harry's Fine Line era over Shawn's Wonder, and the rest is history. I discovered Larry and Louis, and now here I am.

Sometimes I miss being in a calmer fandom 😂, but I love them so much, and I love the friends I made and the fanfics, so I can't leave. What I don't like, I just avoid and block. Harry and Louis are so beautiful and talented that I prefer to stick with the good things and enjoy. All of this happened quite a while ago and progressively, so I don't really remember the exact dates, but it went something like that.

Oh my god the Sara Lee skit led you down the rabbit hole. 😆😆😆 I loved that skit. And he was so funny in it. I can see why you fell.

My journey began in about 2013 or 2014 when I heard Story of My Life in the car one day and asked my daughter who it was. The shock I felt when I learned it was 1D lol! I started looking into them more thinking this boyband is different. (I grew up with New Kids on the Block) Eventually I discovered Larry. The defining moment was the interview where Harry is sitting behind Louis and touches his arm so gently while Zayn tries to cover for them. A moment we weren’t meant to see. And that was it, down the rabbit hole I went! I remember reading the Larry Bible (I think that’s what it was called), watching all of Freddie is my Queen videos and finding tumblr blogs to feed my craving for more. I consumed any and all things Larry, survived RBB/SBB, Babygate and Made in the A.M. promo. No one will convince me they weren’t (and are not currently) together. The evidence is unmatched!

Fast forward to now, I feel like Liam’s death had a very significant impact on not only H&L, but the entire band. I mean listen to Niall talk; he’s so domesticated now. I can relate to that feeling of losing someone so important to you that it changes everything you ever believed. Something has and is now shifting with them. I truly feel H&L have written a love letter of sorts to each other in these latest albums. (Nothing new but it feels different this time). I feel the reminiscence of the beginning days and their long standing love that can’t be denied. I don’t see how people believe their songs are written about random love interests. They have deep rooted love for each other and their music says it all, if you listen. I will also never believe they date women and you don’t even want to get me started on Louis’ “kid”. I almost gave up on him this past year for sticking to the BS narrative, but I’m sure there’s a reason that’s not for us to understand YET. For now, I’m happy to know they are open in their private lives and I hope they can settle down for while to enjoy each other and perhaps a family of their own one day.

Like it’s a collection of ten stories of various Doctor Who characters and stories in their youth. And there is an assortment of them.

Like in Velvet Hugs, Jo is thinking about her life and the events that led her to where she is in her life, married to Cliff with children and their lives as activists for the planet. It’s her thoughts about what led her to working with UNITED and meeting the Doctor.

You also got My Daddy Fights Monsters where young Kate and her mother are confronted by an alien who thinks they can help give it information on the Brig and the Doctor, but they genuinely know nothing and the alien leaves them in peace.

The Big Sleep is Vastra’s tale, a little on her origins and why she’s awake compared to the rest her people, being recounted to her wife Jenny.

Tempered also has a lot to do with the Master and Missy and his/her experiences after going mad from the time scheme and killing the Time Lord that took them to the initiation when they were eight.

I like these stories a lot because they expand a little on the characters and were pleasant to read. They pretty much have no involvement from the Doctor, or if he is involved it’s later or not really related to the character.

Then you got The Last of the Dals, with Davros who is trying to learn about his future and in a way blames the Doctor for it. Believing that had the Doctor not come and saved his life he wouldn’t be on the path of destruction he is on.

The Girl Who Tore Through the Universe is about Amy and Roy. Amy is so desperate to find the raggedy man that she steals some of Isaac Newton’s papers about multiverse to try and summon the Doctor, but she accidentally brings her mother from another universe and nearly tears their own universe apart.

In these stories the Doctor isn’t in the story, but The Doctor’s existence heavily impacts the characters and their motivations. And those were also interesting.

Then there were stories where the Doctor has encountered a companion.

In Chemistry, Ace explains her love of chemistry due to her chemistry teacher, who actually took an interest in her and interacted with her. When her teacher randomly vanishes however an alien confronts Ace to find out where her teacher was, and the teacher comes to save Ace. The teacher is the Thirteenth Doctor who immediately erases all of this but Ace’s love of chemistry from her memory.

The Myriapod Mutiny involves Yaz and Ryan going on a school field trip together but they get separated from the class only to get caught in two alien groups trying to invade the Earth. The Second Doctor arrives and negotiations deals, one able to stay on the Earth and the other being taken to a new planet to live in. And of course their memories are erased, which still doesn’t make sense when or how it was done because the Doctor didn’t have a reason to do it but it had to happen for reasons to keep them from remembering they encountered aliens.

Doctor Jones has Martha coming up on high school graduation with no plans for her future. After her mom gets hurt she goes to the store to buy bandages but she encounters the ninth doctor and ends up accidentally taken to Salem during the Salem Witch Trials. The Doctor saves her but says that in order to get the two of them back to the proper time they need to use time termites and for it to work he will have to erase the memory of the adventure from both of their memories. So neither remember this happened and they end up in modern times, where Martha decides she wants to be a Doctor.

Murmuration and Clara Oswald and the Enchanted Forest are similar in that the Doctor wants to go check on their companion, Four with Sarah Jane and Eleven with Clara, but they mess up with the controls and arrive too early.

Four encounters Sarah as she’s running from an alien creature that possessed a murmur of sparrows and they stop the creature but the Doctor is forced to erase Sarah’s memory to keep her from remembering him as they haven’t met yet.

In a similar fashion Eleven finds Clara in a forest with alien trees after she had a vicious fight with her mother. After they work together to find the treasured leaf of Clara’s parents that she threw out the window to hurt her mom, Eleven erases her memories to preserve the timeline.

I guess I have mixed feelings on these because in three of them it is like Yaz, Ryan, Ace, and Martha were destined to meet the Doctor, especially with Thirteen being Ace’s teacher. And in all these stories the companions have no memory of what happened, and when an earlier Doctor meets a future companion there’s something to also prevent them from remembering which…I don’t know feels weird. Like I like the version in the novels that Martha became a doctor because she was taking care of Leo after he got hurt instead of just residual feeling of admiring the Ninth Doctor.

Deja Donna was a little different because this is a story that happened because they were investigating what happened. Donna sees a post card while her and Ten are shopping, which reminds her of when she saw it many years ago as a kid. She ‘strong arms’ the Doctor into going to see what happened that day as she nearly died. He agrees on the condition she doesn’t get involved.

When they do they find young Donna hearing a kid get hurt in a cave, a cave they believed a monster was in. Older Donna throws a brick with the post card tied to it that tells young Donna to be brave, so young Donna runs in and rescues the boy, but as they leave the cave the cave collapses. It collapses because the TARDIS had landed on top of the cave and it couldn’t handle the weight.

In return, those Spirit Speakers imparted knowledge and wisdom to their society, bringing joy, healing, knowledge, and the certainty that all things upon the earth were linked in an unbroken chain of life.

They taught that interdependence and cooperation was the key to survival, and necessary to the evolution of all life.

But some among them believed they were more important than any of the others. They began to seek rulership over them, and to misuse the power and wisdom of the Spirit Speakers for their own selfish purposes.

Thus began the gradual, then headlong, fall from the grace of the natural world into a dark fantasy of kingship and belief that there could be complete domination of that world with no consequences. That they were, in fact, the crown of creation.

This was not what the Spirit Speakers had envisioned. It soon became necessary for them to remind the people that all living things were created equal and were meant to live in harmony.

This did not sit well with those who had accumulated power unto themselves through a message of division and suppression of the old ideas.

Fearing for the loss of there dominance, they sought out the dark side of the Spirit in the hope that they might maintain their grasp on power.

They began to conjure up Spirits of Evil, and began killing all the Speakers one by one, until there were only a handful left.

So race educator said something I had to fact check it, and it turned out she was wrong, but it was far more interesting than her hypothesis.

The color of that group, he said, was fuscus, which can be best translated as “dark.” This was in 1735. Evidently there was some difficulty deciding on a precise color for Asian Man, since the other three types, European, African, and American, could be unproblematically identified according to already accepted stereotypes of white, black, and red. In the tenth edition of Linnaeus’s taxonomy, however, published in 1758, fuscus was silently changed to luridus, meaning “lurid,” “sallow,” or “pale yellow.” The reasons for this alteration were never explained, although luridus also appeared in several of Linnaeus’s botanical publications to characterize unhealthy and toxic plants. Was Asian Man also to be viewed as sickly or dangerous? I should note at the end of 18th century England was big mad at China for keeping Black tea a secret so started importing Opium, and then the Opium Wars broke out. So this I find like they are projecting onto an innocent population.

And this is why we need back tracing of cultural assertions. The Humor system was debunked, eventually by the likes of ironically followers of Linneaus. The whole of the race as a species system was also debunked ironically by followers of Linneaus (It goes Mendel and Wallace/Darwin later).
