Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp baking soda. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 1 large egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies about 6-7 cookies. 1/2 cup powdered sugar for glaze. 2-3 tbsp milk for glaze. Additional crushed Oreo cookies for topping.
Instructions: Grease a donut pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. Mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, granulated sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat the egg, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Mixing until just combined, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Take care not to blend too much. Crushed Oreo cookies should be gently incorporated into the batter. Pour the batter into each donut hole, about two thirds full, using a spoon. A toothpick inserted into a donut should come out clean after baking for 10 to 12 minutes in a preheated oven. Take out of the oven and let the donuts cool down in the pan for a few minutes, then move them to a wire rack to finish cooling. To make the glaze, whisk the milk and powdered sugar together in a small bowl. To get the consistency you want, add or subtract milk. After dipping each donut into the glaze, place them back on the wire rack and let any extra glaze fall off. While the glaze is still wet, sprinkle some more crushed Oreo cookies over the glazed donuts. Once the glaze has had a chance to solidify, your Oreo Donuts are prepared for consumption!
