What does oraoraora mean in Japanese?

This word and its variation actually have several meanings in Japanese. I already saw a couple of answers and comments in this thread, discussing the different nuances of the words use. Let me see if I could shine a bit more light on its use and give you a little more context.

オラ(ora) is a slang term, coined by the Japanese “Yankii”. The Yankii are a Japanese group, kind of resembling punks or greasers (if you want to go back that far).

So basically, if you say “ora” in a regular voice, it means “look!” and is fairly harmless. However, if you say “ORA!” in a loud, growling voice, that is going to mean “What the fuck?!” i.e. them’s fightin’ words, as they say.
