Even in a meaningless, absurd world, act deliberately and create small, functional meaning through your choices. This helps preserve your nervous system’s stability and gives you a sense of agency in limited areas. The meaning you create is practical and tactical, not metaphysical, it does not remove the underlying horror of existence.

Pay attention to your sensations, thoughts, and fears without identifying with them. This reduces the reactivity of your nervous system, allowing you to be present with the horrors of life without amplifying them through stories or narratives. Non-attachment does not free you from necessity; it only lessens the additional suffering you generate yourself.
