Reasons for bringing Doll back

If it's really Doll, then there are some useful reasons for bringing her back:

Out of all the circus troupe members, she got the closest to our earl. They were roommates, she slept in his bed when he was ill, she covered for him when he said he was a thief trying to stop stealing, and she was the last circus member our earl saw alive (at the time), but he had her killed anyway. If our earl feels grief for any of their deaths, it would probably be hers.

She and Snake are the two circus members who (separately) said they would never forgive our earl. Snake was won over by the job offer and supposed offer of friendship, but Doll was never offered such a deal and likely holds onto all of that anger. Like other circus members, she could tell Snake more about what happened (and what she didn't personally witness, Undertaker might have told her), but unlike the others, she could tell Snake just how deeply she was personally deceived by our earl, and that might resonate best with Snake, since he's been with the earl for several months. The others might not have as much to say about the earl, personally. Also keep in mind how she hated helping to kidnap those children; she probably wasn't going to be able to do it at all anymore, and once she explains to Snake how much she regrets helping, he'd feel even more upset she'd also been killed. This would also give her drive, the personal goals that would serve as her "episodes".

Doll would fit in well at an orphanage, whereas she would have looked out of place elsewhere. (Yeah, I know: Layla looked out of place, but oh well.) So, if she was sent to oversee the blood supply there, she'd fit right in.

Also, she would have to fill in the missing blood type to make up the last lord of the stars. Depending on which lord she is (Vega or Canopus), the other circus members might not have matched. She probably wouldn't have been the last to be selected (that's probably Layla), but she would still have to fill an empty spot. Just one "lord" per blood type.

Undertaker must have waited on that cliff until William and Ronald left. By then, Joker's body might have been consumed by fire. But Doll died outside, away from the fire. He could get to her easily. Later, he would have collected the remains of Peter, Wendy, Beast, Dagger, and Jumbo from a cart left by the back gate at Phantomhive Manor. Beast and Dagger got blown up (after Dagger was shot multiple times), so their bodies probably wouldn't be useful. Peter and Wendy were shot through the head, so they might not hold cinematic records anymore. Similarly, Jumbo died from massive trauma to the head. We don't know how Sebastian killed Doll, but we can assume he did kill her. She might truly be the only one with her brains intact enough to still retain cinematic records.
