INDEPENDENT WORK #3
Title: REFLEJAR
Description: This mirror cube sculpture is my last independent work. My aim for this work is to study space, optics, and memory. (More info in my Artist Review Part 1).
INDEPENDENT WORK #2
Title: Memoria
Description: This is another independent work I’ve done following the dominant theme of memory in my body of work. It consists of screenshots from social media apps such as Snapchat and Instagram printed on paper and then later crumpled up and stored in a clear acrylic box. One of the uses of social media these days is to be an outlet for us to share our personal memories to other people, however this only seems to last shortly before we move on the next thing on our social feeds. Contrastingly, whatever we put on the internet is also there forever so this artwork examines the two ends of this continuum.
