Yesterday's breakfast ๐ Banana blueberry pancakes, bacon and eggs โค๏ธ๐ฅ
A fun and unique way to enjoy a campfire breakfast is to cook eggs in brown paper bags over an open fire. The bags keep the eggs from touching the flames and heat them slowly, making tasty and easy-to-make campfire eggs.
Ingredients: 4 large eggs. 4 brown paper bags. Cooking oil or butter for greasing. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Start by building a fire and allowing it to burn down to hot coals with a medium flame. While the fire is burning down, crack one egg into each brown paper bag. Season the eggs with salt and pepper to taste. Fold the tops of the bags over a couple of times to seal them. Using a small amount of cooking oil or butter, grease the outside of each bag to prevent sticking and burning. Place the sealed bags directly on the hot coals of the fire, avoiding any flames. Cook the eggs for about 6-8 minutes, depending on the heat of your coals, until they reach your desired level of doneness. You can check the eggs by carefully opening one bag and peeking inside. Carefully remove the bags from the coals using tongs or a stick with a hook, as they will be hot. Allow the bags to cool for a minute or two before opening them. Serve the open fire brown bag eggs directly from the bags and enjoy!
