Weekend Escape To Pulau Kotok

When I mention “thousands Island”, 100% I’m sure that you will think about salad dressing, but no that’s not what I mean. Thousands Island or Kepulauan seribu is area in Jakarta that consists of 200 something Island and one of them is Kotok island, an island where we gonna escape from fast and busy Jakarta life for a while. The story behind this fortress is not that clear. Some say Portugese sailor builds this fortress after trick Gorontalo king, some say Gorontalo king asked for help from Portugese sailor to defend their sea from pirates. Either way the fortress is stand strong on the Dembe hill, till this day. The fortress is made from unique mixture, white eggs of maleo, calcium and sand.
