"Shin-chan!" Ava called for the little boy she was taking care of, trying to find him so that she could help him with his homework. Carrying a glass of water and walking around the fairly large house, Ava headed to the table and set glass down. Soon, Shin came barreling down the stairs with his books.

"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon," Leona rushed her eight year old, practically dragging him into Sunset Station where she worked. Smiling and greeting a few of the casino people, she rushed Gabe into the arcade area where she often left him when she couldn't find a babysitter for him. Kneeling so that she was at eye level to him, Leona then looked at him sternly. "Be good okay?" she asked, kissing him on the cheek. Gabe groaned and lightly pushed her away. "Love you," she said, waiting for him to respond before leaving. Just as she was about to turn, Leona accidentally bumped into someone, causing her to fall back a little. "I'm so sorry," she mumbled.

It had been eight years now since Camila died and was reincarnated in some fantasy land in the past as Gisele Alessandra Wainwright, daughter of Duke Alberto Wainwright. For the past eight years, she had spent her new life learning how to be the perfect noble. It only took her a moment to realize that she was in the fantasy book Beatrice that Camila, or rather Gisele now, read back in her world. The character of Gisele was the main character, Beatrice's best friend and she was supposed to die. The story started with Beatrice coming to the Kingdom of Charmers to figure out what happened to her childhood best friend, Gisele. Only Gisele's story started much earlier than that. Gisele woke up as a twelve year old and a face she didn't recognize. It took her a moment to realize she was the same Gisele in the murder-romance she read for high school. Knowing that she was set up to die, Gisele made sure this was not going to happen to her and she wasn't going to be murdered by some man. Taking a deep breath, Gisele exited the party and headed towards the garden in hopes of escaping her fiancee. She had done everything she could to try to escape him, but he became insistent and hardly left her side. Looking back at the party to make sure she wasn't being followed, by the time Gisele looked ahead, she was soon bumping into a hard body, causing her to step back. "Crap," she muttered. "I am so sorry."

The 75th Hunger Games was something that made Aster nervous. The Capitol always made a spectacle of the Quarter Quell so she never knew what was going to happen in these games. It was almost as if all bets were off. The last time that the Quarter Quell happened, it was the 50th Hunger Games and they decided to double the amount of tributes, resulting in such a bloodbath. Smiling at her fellow District 8 tribute, Aster wrung her hands nervously. As the winner of the 70th Hunger Games, Aster had become a mentor ever since. The tribute beside her was the winner of the 74th Hunger Games. All the past winners were invited to a dinner by the Capitol in order to celebrate the up coming games and to announce the theme of the games. Grabbing a drink, the redhead headed towards a corner in order to avoid socializing. Right now, she didn't feel like smiling and pretending she was happy about what was happening. Not watching where she was going, Aster apologized when she hit a shoulder. "Sorry about that," she whispered, afraid it was one of Snow's people and they were going to punish her.

Layla needed a date. It was her sister’s wedding and Layla was tired of hearing those stupid questions from nosy family members asking her why she didn’t bring a date to her sister’s wedding. Normally, if it was anyone else’s wedding, Layla wouldn’t care. She could just hide in the back and avoid Nana throughout the whole thing but because it was her sister’s wedding and she had been blessed with being the maid of honour, she couldn’t exactly blend into the background. Her last desperate attempt and getting a date, she changed tinder bio to her basically begging for a date. There were four guys and a damn dog that swiped right on her and asked her about her bio. Obviously she said no to the dog and the more she got to talking to the other ones, only one man remained. He had a decent job that would make her look good in front of her cousins and family and he was attractive. Throughout their days of talking, they got along well and she enjoyed talking to him well enough. Thank God he said he was down to being her date and pretending so long as the booze was free. They agreed to meet at her place, telling him what she planned on wearing so that he could hopefully match before they drove to her sister’s venue. Taking a deep breath and pacing her apartment as she grew scared that he wasn’t going to show up, Layla practically jumped when she heard someone knock. Rushing over to her door, she quickly opened it. “Oh thank God, I really thought you were joking and I would have no date.” x

The humiliation Irene felt thanks to her husband’s affair and the discovery of said affair at her birthday celebration is something Irene just wanted to forget. For the last couple of months, she had been successful in drowning it out and forgetting it thanks to her personal assistant, Jonathan, and their two month long binge getting drunk, doing drugs and partying at every event and party around the world. She was sure that she was the cause of the polar ice caps melting a little more with the private jets she flew around in the span of those two months she spent jet setting all over the world. Now that she was ready to face the world, Irene was about to enter the foundation her husband had set up in her name a few years back. Honestly, she didn’t remember a goddamn thing about it. She only remembered it because someone had called her saying that the bank account used to fund the whole thing had gone kaput. Of course she immediately put the money necessary into the account (she was now the third richest woman in the world), but she felt compelled to go in and check it out. Entering the office, she looked around and immediately walked towards the first person she saw. “Hello, I am looking for the boss of this place. They never really gave me a name, but I wanted to see them.”

One moment Alice was in the middle of Times Square with her sister on vacation and the next, Alice was in the middle of Times Square all alone. It was like she blinked and everyone was gone. Panic set in when she realized her sister was no longer in front of her holding a camera and telling her to smile, causing her to panic. “Jen!” she called out. “Jen!” she screamed, looking around as if her sister was hiding behind one of the cars from the second she had closed her eyes. Though she wasn’t even thinking about how everyone else disappeared. Truthfully, all Alice could focus on her sister. As she was looking around, Alice saw someone running causing her eyes to widen. “Wait!” she yelled, running after the person. “Please, wait!” she begged, chasing after the person.

This was not how Layla imagined her life to be. Sure, she was a little wild back in college, but that was college and she was now a married wife and mother of two. Well, now she was a widow, something she was not expecting at the young age of thirty-five. Taking a deep breath, Layla exited out of her car and looked up at the house in front of her. In order to maintain the lifestyle she had now for her two children, at least that was what she told herself. Really, Layla knew why she was doing it, she had grown accustomed to the life her former husband had provided her. Walking towards the front porch, she rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer. Once finally someone did, Layla rolled her eyes and stepped inside. “Jesus, you took your time,” she muttered and headed towards the kitchen. Taking the wads of cash from her purse, she laid it out on the table and waited. “You should just give me the keys to your house so that I don’t have to keep waiting like this since I’m going to be coming here more often. I need more weed.”
