The indulgences of nature had found him blissfully working the tangles out of his hair in a naturally heated spring. It was rare that he found the opportunity, and it felt indulgent just to actually relax. There was always more to do - establish their camp, secure the area, find firewood and forage some for herbs and useful things. Then came hunting, if needed, they all took their turns but when he felt restless he turned to his wildshape to run something down.
Now, though, was a rare chance for reprieve as the druid found himself just humming quietly to fill the silence, savoring the warm as it soaked into tense muscles and slowly started to ease him into relaxing. It was pleasant, this soft comfort, a small kind of thing he could savor in the face of all the monstrosities they had to face still.
They all deserved a chance to relax when it was possible.
