The Row: A Writer & Artist Community
Getting interaction as a small account on tumblr is super frustrating. Now, add on the people who comment and message you sounding super interested and overly enthusiastic about your writing or art only to be fishing for commission work and money…. People like that take the fun out of it all. That is not what the Row is about; we want to support each other.
We want people to feel comfortable sharing their writing and art.
We want people to make friends and genuine connections.
The entire goal is to have a support group for artists and writers; a place for people to come together and create together.
rules- yes, as much as we hate them, we do need a few.
No hate will be tolerated. If you can’t say anything nice- don’t say anything at all. This is supposed to be a safe place for EVERYONE and if there is any issues- tag me or message me @gothamxwattpad
2. Minors/Adults; this group is open to anyone 16 and up. I will be asking creators of mature themes to label their workings as such with MATURE or age limits and DNI’s (do not interact). We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable here. And again, issues can be brought to my attention via tag or message.
3. If you are out to make money, this isn’t your group. We are a support group not another cog for the capitalist machine. Art and writing is supposed to be fun so this group is for FUN. Report any account that fishes for commissions for money.
More rules can be added as group grows.
Introductions; I encourage everyone to introduce themselves.
Hello, I’m Jules. She/Her. Queer. My art is writing. My current work is a fanfiction called GothamX; a Gotham City based fanfiction that follows Gotham natives taking on truths, lies and Darkness!
One of the things I struggle with is getting out of writer’s block holes. And sharing and talking about it helps. I would love to meet people like me, I want to hear everything about your story and art. I mean, everything. I love spoilers, hidden lore, writer/artist rambles. We will pull each other out of writer’s block/art block holes. Feedback? Mild editing? Writing tips? Concept art? Let’s build each other up and give the greedy capitalists the finger!
