-12 birds flying in a circle. Pretty ominous with the intro of the music. If there's 12 of them, maybe they're representing a clock- maybe as a sign of time running out, all that 'lost' time that Subaru spent during his resets, something like that. And then you see the birds fly Emilia's window ...and remembering how some of the animals like the dog were actually dark beasts...oh no...
-And then he is drowning (or at least he's figuratively/mentally in a state where he can't breathe, his mind is muddled etc. and I'm pretty sure he's crying and he's so upset and anguished and probably regrets all the things from the flashback he has. Subaru and Emilia are facing each other as friends and everything but now they're (literally) not facing each other and they're in a pretty dark place and that might or might not be ash that's falling down on them. Like to signify their connection/friendship being burnt down. (and that's the ashes from that - you know like that saying 'burning bridges' ) And as Subaru is struggling against that water, Rem is continuously by his side and I guess he's torn over things that Emilia and Rem says like he's been given an ultimatum. *
-AND THEN comes the mysterious big red eye!!! It could be the Jealous Witch, which might signify how she's been peeking through Subaru and also watching HIM as if he can't ever escape from her /and her grasp. -Then Weird Green Hair guy with his shadow hands ** AND FINALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT PART:
-The OP rewinds really quickly (so maybe Subaru did another reset and was determined not to let that happen again?) and Subaru thinks back to all of those things and then there is Emilia who's facing the darkness (might symbolize she has been turning to the dark side as well?) and the shadow hands (from Weird Green Hair guy) are about to take over her (and get her for good/turn her completely over to the dark side idk). And Subaru runs to Emilia to save her has reach out to Emilia, AND NOTICE how as he's getting closer the darkness dissipates (so he's essentially, the light) and so do the shadow hands, and he calls out to Emilia and tries to reach her ...(and hmm Emilia seems surprised to see him there, but also like she knew he would be there?haha idk) and juST as the shadow hands are about to close in on her, Subaru and Emilia grasp hands So they're finally able to reach out to each other again (figuratively) and hopefully this is where it ends of at- a good point and not anymore angst.
