ok so. backstory. i used to write smut but i lost interest in it (cough switched meds who said that) and tbh i'd, well, written a lot and it was kinda getting boring for me. i swear to god i never want to write a first time again (is writing a first time in Patchwork ignore that). so i mostly stopped. occasionally i get an idea that feels new/interesting/plot-relevant enough to write something again, tho, that's why i wrote 'want it more' last year which i think was my first E fic in like. two years lmao. probably wrote something M in there? idr. anyway

soooooo when i was outlining Patchwork i had an extremely specific smut-adjacent (not the actual smut, you'll see what i mean when the chapter happens lol) idea inspired by a tiktok i saw and it was def explicit enough to be rated m. so i was like at that point i might as well write my bi-yearly smut for this fic XD so i have like 2-3 scenes planned rn, we'll see where it goes

BUT. peek behind the curtain. i've been excited to write Patchwork since like. january. it was originally going to be my big bang fic (since soulmarks could be a basis for art) before i decided to fr do POP FEUD, and i'm glad i did because it was a way better fit for it for a lot of reasons, but that means i've been excited to write this smut for months without getting to :((

so in one afternoon in like. march maybe? i banged out half of five points, it originally stopped on the first round of eating out. which isn't to say the fic finished there, i just left it mid paragraph because the psychological stuff was what i was really interested in writing at that point in time. and then OJT posted that art which reminded me i had some kind of wip that was about she-ra sex and it gave me more ideas/motivation. so i went to clean up my drafts folder and that left only three WIPs in my folder, Patchwork, five points, and a third fic we'll be circling back to lol. so i opened up five points and finished and posted it this weekend right. i'd been trying to save that energy for Patchwork but Patchwork took too long to get to that part XD

the thing issssssss writing that fic gave me the idea for something else (you might be able to guess lmao), but the negotiation was not happening in that fic lmao. so after i finished it i had the idea to actually do that fic, and then i wanted to flip it and do adora's equivalent, because the, like... softer? less kinky? less interesting? version of that is what the third wip in my folders is, and it's literally been sitting there since january of 2023. and tbc there's nothing written there, it's just an outline, i couldn't even give you a full written sentence from it, but catra's bottoming hardcore in five points and its sequel and i headcanon them switching a lot more than that soooooo adora is finally getting that smut. eventually lmao.

i already wrote over 4k of the five points sequel, which btw sex has not happened yet. i'm insane. smutshot? haven't heard of her. like my original idea was "oh, sister fic to five points, this new fic will have one chapter for catra and one chapter for adora". no. cuz see it's nonlinear. because im a normal person. anyway i want to make it easier to reread so it's getting split into three chapters. probably. and then tacking on one for adora feels weird, so she does actually get her own separate fic even if i expect it to be more equivalent to five points than this other thing im doing lmao

BUT. im trying to shelve that stuff rn to focus on Patchwork. so sequels will be coming but only after crashout catra comes in Patchwork i swear to god XD she has been waiting too long
