The yearly Madness is an event hosted by Ivin for people to challenge his leadership position by winning a series of puzzles, events, and such, without getting eliminated. It's a tradition from a long time ago thats now just more of a spectacle.
Players are randomly selected from a pool of eligable competitors. Those who are eligable in the mixed ring get to pick which of the colors they wish to represent of the ones that remain when they're picked, as long as they can reasonably pass as it.
Nobody has won against Ivin for long enough for people to speculate if he's even mortal.
