What would happen if the player and their kid crossed paths with Goyle?? *laughs maliciously*
Ooooh boy. The divorce energy is STRONG with these two. They certainly didn't meet by intention, they just happened to run into one another while the Player was running an errand and they both just happened to bump into one another on the street. Goyle is stunned and the Player is just GLARING at him from their place next to their child, who is just curious at why their parent has stopped dead in their tracks. Their innocent little gaze flicking back and forth between their parent and the stranger. "Player..." "Goyle." Just a simple exchange of their names pretty much solidifies how one feels about the other. Goyle is surprised and in awe and Player is stern and brief. Goyle's gaze flicks to the little one at your side and...something tells him that the kid looks really familiar...but you step in the way before he could continue to gaze at the puzzling little tag along. "Who's kid is that?" "None of your business." "What do you mean it's none of my business?! I haven't seen you in years after you vanished and then you show back up with a kid on your hip?!?" "Again, it's none of your business. Our partnership ended a long time ago, Goyle. For one reason or another, I chose to go on a different path." "You could've at least told me something!" "I don't have to tell you anything. I have a kid and that's all you DESERVE to know...and no. They're not yours." While you originally felt bad for lying to your kid about their 'father being dead', it felt more protective now that you had your ex staring you down. The last person you would want to know that they had a kid with you would be the one that would exploit them...just as he did you. "Can I at least know WHY you left?" "I found the true love of my life one day and decided to run away with them and find a new life elsewhere. Unfortunately, my love is no longer with us." A brief lying explanation that sounded as easy to say as breathing. You practiced your lying a lot when the child would ask what happened to their 'father' and you would always make up stories to tell the little one. You know it hurts...but it's better than telling them that Goyle was their father. You don't want them to be taken advantage of. Especially if they get old enough to "bring in the ratings". "Now, if you would excuse us. We have business to attend to in the city. Come on, little one." You usher your little one along with you and Goyle merely stands there and watches you leave. The kid looking over their little shoulder at him and his mind was slowly processing their appearance. Something about the Player was off...and Goyle can't help but feel like he's being lied to.
