   a casual day out for seto used to be a thing of the past. but here he is, without one of his many different coats, in a standard turtle neck and jeans. he feels awkward, out of place, like someone who just arrived in an unfamiliar city. 

   he’s never worn awkwardness well. he prefers to be in an environment where he thrives, a man of power looking upon his creations. but here, apart from his immediately recognizable features, he blends in. it’s relieving, in a way - not having the weight of his work and his company on his shoulders. the ability to be, to simply observe without being a part of it all.

   signs of thoughtfulness must have shown on his face, because there’s a shift next to him, a hand taking hold of his own. seto weaves their fingers together, glancing over at his boyfriend as a soft smile forms. 

   “ i’m alright, ” he assures, and means it this time.
