children love to play with non-Newtonian fluid (oobleck). It is fascinating to them. This is evidenced by the amount of children I had ask to take home some oobleck to play with. And also just playing with it for an extraordinarily long time.
Teenagers also like to play with it when it is available. This is evidenced by the fact that whenever a teenage volunteer stopped by the science station, they would pause to poke and/or stick their hand into the bowl of oobleck I had as an example.
Adults think it’s interesting, but not worth the mess. My dad thought it was cool.
Also it’s a mess to clean up and I ended up mopping a few tables.
