Santa Rosa Shih Tzu Puppy believe in giving back to the community. Today, we participated in "National Read Across America" at Harper's school, Harrison Elementary, in Prince George County. It was my honor to read The Giving Tree to Mrs.Kunkel's 1st Grade Class. Afterward each child was given a gift of an Apple to either enjoy or to give to someone else.🍎 I taught for several decades and I am so proud that parents trusted me with the education of their children and I am equally proud that our Santa Rosa Shih Tzu Puppy Families trust us with caring for their puppy or in some cases, puppies, plural. We received the nicest email from Berkeley's mom… "Hi! I thought you’d like to see how much our puppy (I named him Berkeley after my alma mater) has grown since we picked him up on April 15. He was a birthday present from my husband, Bill and he is THE BEST PRESENT ever!! I have never had a small dog before and I am really enjoying the snuggles and the puppy kisses. Berkeley has an awesome personality. He has a lot of spunk and loves running after our lab mix named Dallas. He is doing well with the potty training, and knows his name and how to sit. Thank you for breeding such wonderful dogs!" We are overjoyed to know that Berkeley is the "Best Gift Ever!" Your update made our weekend. Last, but certainly not least, in the "Faces Behind" Santa Rosa Shih Tzu Puppy🐾 series is Harper. Say Hello to Harper.   Harper has overcome so much in his short life. Harper's Failure to Thrive Diagnosis along with many others: Heart Murmur, Umbilical Hyernia, Autism, Clubfoot, Pediatric Feeding Disorder, Fibular Hemimelia, and an inability  to speak, all contributed to making him a frequent flyer for long extended stays at the Pediatric ICU at Doctor's Hospital. Harper being here with his earthly family is a miracle. Harper is a fighter and he has beat the odds and in a few days will finish Kindergarten. If you are lucky enough to meet this young man you will be greeted with a "Big Smile." Harper doesn't speak and for a long-time could not walk, but somehow, he has always been able to communicate with our four-footed moms, dads, and puppies in that special "Harper Way." We call him the "Puppy Whisperer." Harper is our resident "Puppy Holder." Drama with some comedy about 3 autistic adult roommates dealing with the world starring 3 austistic actors.  Written well, quite engaging, had to keep clicking the next episode, so quite bingeable though I did take a break in the middle.  I was was going to give it a 7/10 till I realised the 3 characters on the spectrum were played by 3 nerodivergent actors so 8/10 because it was just impressive.  Bonus points for Chris Pang, Joe Mantegna and Dele Ogundiran
