Aonishiki getting his third yusho is fine by me, he’s a good wrestler and deserves it, wish Atamifuji just could’ve kept a bit of stamina going so he could finally get one and not just runner up
Kirishima looked decent most days but that bout against Atamifuji showed he has a bit to come with heavy pushers, which you can see in the bout record against Onosato which is 1-10
Seeing Onosato get a Kachi koshi is so beautiful, the boy is coming back and the man he is will return in September
Atamifuji is also doing great I wish he could just work on his stamina, I believe if he focuses on that a bit more he can get a yusho

about yesterday...i do not understand the dead man rule at all. i'm too new to the sport. i reckon i've seen similarly unrecoverable positions turn into wins (i don't remember exact bouts offhand, but i know i've felt this confusion before). has anyone got a take or lesson for me about this? and frankly i've no preference between gonoyama and onosato, not really a fan of either, just trying to understand the rule.
