Deconstructing the Everyday: Experimental Soundscapes at McDonald’s (SpaceFields, Borderlands)
Using the modern tool of the iPad, I deconstruct the mundane sounds of "everyday Japan" (the hustle and bustle) and elevate them back into the sounds of Zen (silence and deep sounds). This is a distinctly modern, Japanese art form, distinct from the secluded space of a dojo. It could be called "City Zen." I believe it's a very modern, Japanese art form.
The process of deconstructing and reconstructing the hustle and bustle of everyday life is always unpredictable and fascinating. Experience this "Deconstructing the Everyday" session for yourself.
