Sitting on the bench she sighed a little, today had been one exhausting day and she was extremely ready for sleep. She started feeling drowsy as just by sitting on the bench alone, maybe she should have gotten coffee or tea to keep her up for a bit longer. Emerald eyes slowly started to close as she just more a moment slips into sleep. She falls onto someone who must have been close by and watching her. She feels a blanket draped over her shoulders.
Slightly opening her eyes again she realizes she had fallen asleep in that moment, however she was leaning against someone who seemed familiar. Sakura sleepily looks up to see silver hair -- a familiar masked man even if her vision is blurry due to the lack of sleep.
❝ Ka ... Kashi ... ❞
The pinkette, could hardly hold on, his presence reassuring her as she slowly blinked.

The Cherry Blossom festival was fast approaching but because Sakura didn’t have a date didn’t mean that she wasn’t on the job. Kakashi had approached her earlier in the week about it, the way that he mentioned it had her suspicious. Even if he was asking her out on a date she was old enough to know that the Hokage had to participate in festivals like this from time to time, they just always acted like they were enjoying themselves. Turns out that the tables turned on him instead of the Hokage asking her to accompany him she invited herself as a guard that would at least dress the part for the day.
Sakura said she would play the part so on the day of she styled her hair, put on makeup and a Kimono before setting out on her secret mission. She brought a small handbag along with some money, her keys and a scarf in case it got a little cold. Meeting Kakashi at his offive she smiled in his direction.
❝ Shall we go, Kakashi? Everyone is waiting for the Hokage. ❞
The pinkette smiled as she waited for him to join her side. They made their way down to the small stage where Kakashi did a small speech to officially start the festivities. There was stalls every where and it seemed like the main street was going all out with food, drinks, games and a variety of other means of entertainment. Everyone seemed to stop the male in order to thank him and show their appreciation, the crowed of people never seemed to stop but at least in this one moment he was able to breathe.
It was then that suddenly Sakura caught a glimpse of someone, a certain blonde that was bound to tease her about being with the Hokage. Grabbing a hold of Kakashi’s wrist Sakura pulled him into the closest alley way, her hand quickly raising to silence him for a moment. She listened to the bustle of the crowd and pin pointed Ino’s voice, it was getting closer, and closer. Sakura started to panic, she couldn’t have people overhearing their conversation. Pulling out the scarf she placed it over her head, a blush escaping her as she looked towards him.
They needed a disguise, or act how normal “couples” would do. Pushing the hat off of his head she tip toes with the scarf over her head as a slight disguise and leans in and kisses Kakashi through his mask. She pauses there, she can feel her heart racing as she listens and waits for the familiar voice to completely pass them before pilling away. Maybe she shouldn’t have come to the festival after all. How could she cross such a line? Her face turning red with embarrassment as she allows the scarf to fall to her side.
❝ I’m sorry ... Rokudaime ... ❞ She forces herself to say instead of his name and takes a small step back.
❝ I’m sorry, I crossed a line and I shouldn’t have. ❞
“Well, well... Mr. I’m-too-cool-for-you-and-everyone-else wants to know what I think of him. Let’s see, I didn’t much care for you one-upping me in front of the Hokage, at the Chunin Exams. However, I’m willing to bury the hatchet and be friends. But just friends! You’re not my type (no offence). I don’t know why people think we’d make a good couple, because I don’t see it. Other than that, I do respect your abilities as a shinobi and as a sensei to your students. And I remember meeting your father when I was little and I never thought anything negative about him. He was a good person. So we’re cool, I hope. Even if I rooted for Gai against you...“
