This verse is often discussed in relation to the Battle of Badr which is by far my favourite Battle of all, it explains that the severe punishment faced by the disbelievers was a direct consequence of their opposition to Allah and His Messenger. This is because they defied Allah and His Messenger. And whoever defies Allah and His Messenger—indeed, Allah is severe in punishment".

I reminding myself of the Battle of Badr all the time, the main point for me it how The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) had a limited amount of soldiers compared to the disbelievers, making him outnumbered and yet Allah gave him the upper hand and made Him victorious. Remember this when you are outnumbered and you don't have many people walking with you, you have Allah, His Prophets, His Ahlulbayt, and His Angels all guiding and protecting you. No matter how many people are trying to get rid of you, harm you, take from you, remove you, pull you down, shame you they will never have the upper hand. They will never be victorious. It highlights the reward for those who fight in the cause of Allah [God], promising to punish the enemies, humiliate them, "˹So˺ fight them and Allah will punish them at your hands, put them to shame, help you overcome them, and soothe the hearts of the believers—removing rage from their hearts." Never be in fear for we have Allah and they have no one. Even if they have the world they have nothing for their afterlife is nothing but a severe punishment.

🔹•| Surah Al-Anfal |•🔹

Will you not fight those who have broken their oaths, conspired to expel the Messenger ˹from Mecca˺, and attacked you first? Do you fear them? Allah is more deserving of your fear, if you are ˹true˺ believers. ˹So˺ fight them and Allah will punish them at your hands, put them to shame, help you overcome them, and soothe the hearts of the believers—removing rage from their hearts. And Allah pardons whoever He wills. For Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. ~{9:13-15}.

🔹•| لا تخف فإن لنا الله |•🔹

تُذكر هذه الآية كثيرًا في سياق غزوة بدر، وهي غزوتي المفضلة بلا منازع، فهي توضح أن العذاب الشديد الذي واجهه الكفار كان نتيجة مباشرة لمعارضتهم لله ورسوله. وذلك لمخالفتهم الله ورسوله. وَمَنْ يُحَادِقُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ.

أُذَكِّرُ نَفْسِي بِمَغْرَقَةِ بدر دَائِمًا، وَالْمَحْلُولُ الأَوَّلُ لِي هُوَ كَيْفَ كَانَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ قَلِيلًا مُقَابِلًا لِلْكَافِرِينَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَزْمُورُ فَقَاتِلُوهُمْ يُعَذِّبْهُمْ اللَّهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ وَيُخْزِيهِمْ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ. يا أيها الذين آمنوا، يذهب غيظ قلوبهم. لا تخافوا، لنا الله وليس لهم أحد. وإن كانت لهم الدنيا، فليس لهم شيء، فإن آخرتهم عذاب شديد.

أفلا تقاتلون الذين نكثوا أيمانهم، وتآمروا على إخراج الرسول من مكة، وهم بدأوكم بالهجوم، أتخشونهم؟ الله أحق أن تخشوهم إن كنتم مؤمنين. فقاتلوهم يعذبهم الله بأيديكم، ويخزيهم، وينصركم عليهم، ويلين قلوب المؤمنين، يذهب غيظ قلوبهم، ويعفو الله عمن يشاء، والله عليم حكيم. ~{التوبة: ١٣-١٥}.
