it must’ve been three or four o’clock in the morning, she couldn’t be too sure. it was the kind of pitch dark outside that made her believe it was the time of night that everything and anything could happen. she heard the footsteps nearing her room and recognized them in a heartbeat. she knew she was safe so she pretends to be asleep until the door of her bedroom creaked open. robyn turned her body to face the other woman and it didn’t take her more than a second to know what was going on. “hey...” she croaked as she sat up in bed and slowly made her way over to carol. “i’m here,” she stated, taking her hands in hers and holding them close to her body. “i’m real.”

THERE WAS AN EMPTINESS NOW --------- A DEAFENING SILENCE that screamed in the abyssal VOID that made up the universe. peter could not bear to think how many lives had been lost. he could still feel the ghosts of his friends ‘pon his fingertips, still feel the ASHES of mantis hitting his face. he was never one to openly GRIEVE ( just keep moving forward quill. you learned from a young age that the universe can be an UGLY place ), but he had locked himself within the COCKPIT and had ‘ rocket man ‘ on blast. he had spent several hours attempting to get the milano back up & running, but it was of MOOT point. the milano was all but a floating skeleton ( at least ------- for now. christ, he missed rocket. he wondered if he was okay ). when he had left nebula and tony, they were attempting to come up with a way to fix all the DAMAGES.
his music almost drowned out the sound of someone BOARDING the ship, and part of him had half a mind to ignore whatever it was. he cared little at the moment ( soon a RAGE would pool in his belly, and he’d hunt thanos to the edges of the universe ), but after a moment or two, sigh breached his lips and he FORCED himself to stand. surprise was the first expression to grace his features when he turned.

disbelief RANG clear ---- it had been quite some time since carol danvers had crossed his path, and peter couldn’t keep the relief from his face ( it was good to see a familiar face, to know that she had not PERISHED with the others ). the sadness still clung to his expression, but there was an innate joy to be seen there as well. ❛ long time no see -------- th’ kree get new colors? ❜ hand gestured to her suit, eyebrow COCKED in curiosity.
