he had been looking at her, and all he wanted to do was kiss her – and he hasn’t all that good with impulse control in the first place. they had recently made up, too, and surely it was too soon to be so forward. but how could he not, when her smile begged to be tasted?

he watched her first, of course, as one should be made to do when it came to the indulgence of beautiful goddesses. a moment passes, and another, and he finds that her smile is as contagious, and he presses his own against hers. he pulls away too late; too soon; he doesn’t know which it is, but he keeps his eyes closed for now.

“i missed this.”

His lips on her made her easily forget whatever it is she was talking about earlier. She briefly remembers talks about possibly going on vacation in the Carribean in the coming weeks and arguing what they are going to have for dinner-- she remembers wanting McDonald’s while he wanted Chinese-- but all of that easily become a blur in their kiss. 

At first, she does not move; body having almost forgotten how to properly react to the electric shocks that he sends coursing through her veins. Her whole body tingles and all at once, it feels like coming home. Apollo is home and his kiss is the warmth she has missed all these weeks. They pull away gently but keep their faces close to each other, breaths mingling in the small space in between.
