Fused! Ben exploration and AU with the hypothetical max potential
This'll be paired with my Reformed! Elena posts here for the future bit and the ramifications for Ken Tennyson. Various people have done pieces of fan art where Ben fuses with the watch of which afaik @promsien is far in the lead of content wise. You can find one such piece by a diffrent artist below this post actually (along with a Anodite! Ben which I'll likewise explore in a post pondering what a Gwen 10 au would be like content wise).
Being fused with the watch would have massive implications. Not only in the obvious bits (having a better version of Master Control/Ultimate Ben by being able to use an arbitrary number of alien powers at once without fully having to transform*, at least universal durability in all forms considering the Omnitrix has withstood universal destruction without a scratch, regeneration sufficient enough to lol at being aged to dust, being able to make tech ex nihlo like Goop's anti grav disk) but also more passive benefits.
For one thing no one can steal the Omnitrix from him since at this point it's basically decorative than functional. For another he by all rights should also have not only a better version of the failsafe since the watch's various protections while in alien form (loling at soul manipulation, transmutation, genetic manipulation, mind control, planetary telepathy, massively faster than light/basically instant reaction times due to out reacting a point blank Big Bang etc) should be active 24/7, but in my opinion the AI in the watch would likely be unchained as well.
What do I mean by that? I mean the AI would be far more active than canon and more lively too**. I can totally see it making a Heads Up Display for Ben that utilizes the Galvan's database of knowledge/it's connection to Plumber databanks and the Extranet to passively analyze environmental/enemy data to further help Ben in his heroics. He runs into magic/tech he's never seen? It'd automatically search said places and extrapolate from said knowledge for a plan on how to proceed.
For another benefit Ben would no longer need to eat/sleep/drink, being sustained and powered by the Omni energy of the watch. Which leads me to my final point of what Fused Ben would lead to in at least a year if not a significantly shorter time period.
Ben being able to Hero 24/7 without consequences would jump at the chance to do so. He already does multiple all nighters in a row and as Omniverse shows goes WEEKS without a break. Seeing as he's perfectly willing to kill himself to save a few more lives, he'll certainly be gung ho about saving lives when Hero Time doesn't stop. Which would lead him to being known as the Hero of Heroes faaaaaaaaar earlier.
* Powers I see Ben having on permanently include Nanomech's hyper adaptability/bioshocks/shrinking, Grey Matter's super intelligence, Terraspin's magic immunity, Ghostfreak's mana absorption immunity/possession/intangability/invisibility/soul manipulation, Bigchill's high resistance to extreme temperatures and space survivability, NRG's ability to grow more powerful the more energy it eats, Chromastone's flight, Jetray's ability to go into hyperspace, Diamondhead's durability, Feedback's energy absorption, XLR8's ground speed, the Pugnavore sample's galactic scale telepathy and trans dimensional teleportation, Clockwork's time manipulation, Gravvattack's gravity manipulation, Lodestar's magnetism/regeneration, Echo Echo's cloning and the Lenopan's shapeshifting. There might be a few I'm missing but that's mostly a complete package for most any situation.
** Which is something I wished the series delved more into honestly. Hell there's even a Alien Force promo explicitly saying how alive the watch is now
What it means for Ken and Reformed! Elena
Naturally any kid made from a living DNA database*** would be quite unusual especially when said kid has a mother who is a living von neumann hiveminded nanoswarm. Not only would Ken need help in making something he'll have no real reference for (being born without a inhibition due to his nanites granting his every desire as I've discussed before) but he'll also have quite literally a universal body of knowledge on tap with his own version of the Omnitrix's original AI (which would likewise be raised with him and act as a quasi sibling/mindscape bound playmate).
Being able to call upon a million plus samples of alien DNA would allow his nanites to gain immunities to most anything basically as soon as he's old enough/smart enough to shift willingly. He'd also basically always have on tap Elena's godmode since he can always tap into the Galvanic Mechamorph sample and would quickly have active the same suit of powers his father has.
Elena meanwhile will be able to hero and largely even keep up with her husband stats wise since both of them have limitless stamina and don't need to eat/sleep/drink. Given both of their capabilities to be in multiple places at once they can both Hero on a universal scale and have all the time in the world to raise their children/relax.
*** which is the exact reason why having Eunice be Ken's mother in a non fused Ben timeline would be fascinating especially since it'd include her Dr. Dolittle tendancy of pacifying animals/getting them to protect her
