It was hard to get invested into the 2020 retelling of Adventure due to how often the plot summoned Omegamon as a get away from jail card. The characters were never really in danger, every time a new Mega level threat appeared I felt like watching a playthrough on easy mode.

The Royal Knights they generally use is the current group led by Alphamon and Omegamon
However, it is known that Imperialdramon had their own era of Royal Knights when they originally founded the group in ancient times and Kenji Watanabe has mentioned a desire to have a new set of Royal Knights to succeed the current group with Jesmon being the one connecting the present with the future
Ironically, Time Stranger's concept would've been perfect for this idea with a past, present, and future era that would each be protected by a different era of knights
