two lovers, forbidden from one another,
a war divides their people... ⛰️
Zuko and Katara are now “canonically” associated with TWO (2) epic romance myths involving red and blue characters and people still think we’re being delusional…
the cave of two lovers song:
"Two lovers, forbidden from one another. A war divides their people, and a mountain divides them apart. Built a path to be together and die... Secret tunnel! Through the mountain!"
and then they get separated by a mountain of earthbending.
LITERALLY!

Can we take second to appreciate how visually beautiful the world of ATLA is? It’s so vibrant and full of life, I always wished it was real and I could live in it
omashu?.. you mean..
the city founded in honor of star crossed lovers, whose villages were enemies?..
who wore red and blue clothing?..
...
the bait is baiting but i am no better than a fish
Where does Omashu get its water from?
My best guess is that they use Earthbending to dig very deep wells into a massive aquifer under the city.
One possible evidence of the aquifer's existence is the Foggy Swamp, which is nearby-ish to Omashu and is also nestled in the mountains.
And yet it's got plenty of water, probably drawn to the surface by the roots of the banyan tree.
