Cough- anyways, this little ol' blog here is to post abt this little thingy of ours. If you didn't know, me and my moots, have a small discord server, well not really small anymore lmao but that's besides the point!

This blog is to show off the AU that has been personally made by us whimsies! Called the Whimsies AU lol, or our version of canon besides OLNF canon itself haa- But minus that, here's a smallll explanation on it!

Azzy, my mc, is the AU's mc! All collectively agreed on by the server's members haha- the other mcs, AKA my moots' MCs are already individuals who had been living in Golden Grove, some have lived there all their life, some have moved to Golden Grove like Azzy did. But besides that, Azzy's the new kid! Oh yeah and she has Opal as the parent whilst the other MCs have their own families and parents/carers!

And that's also an explanation why some of us are suddenly giving out art of our mcs together, as in together as ships haha- BUT YEAH! Our whimsies AU has a whole new direction from canon olnf but it still sits in that universe and QiuTam are still Azzy's neighbours, the other mcs are,,,somewhere-

i was fairly stumped knowing this day for moment so i kept it as a sketch since this is more of a brainstorm idea!

I’m still in the middle of season 1, but I keep on musing… what if MC went to study at Baxter’s private school? Just like Rory at Chilton?

Not right from the start, though. We want our MC to befriend (and smitten) their adorable neighbors first (besties AND crushing Tama and Qiu are law). So the upcoming drama of leaving school would only bring more delicious angst (and pinning, nothing better than good ol’ pinning characters, those are favs).  

MC could have been granted a scholarship for attending high school in that prestigious nest of future nation leaders (aka “rich bitches and bastards den” just like Chilton). But the education level is top, and though a bit worried about her kid having to survive a potential hostile environment, Opal would feel proud of them and actively support them.  

MC has a bit of mixed feelings. Sure, they’d be proud and happy too, could have been their wish from the start, or triggered by meeting Baxter and pondered over for a few years. But they’d miss their dear Tam and Qiu so much…

(on a side note, this could bring an interesting reflection of the characters about life goals, relationships, the drama and struggle of balancing both, what do they really want vs what do they really need…)

So, though this would potentially take place in-between Step 2 and 3 (kids would be 15-16 years old), there are still little info on how relationships would evolve (unless for the HEARTBREAKING disbanding of the cul-de-sac kids’ friendship and the emotional and identity struggles of Tama and Qiu)…

However:

1 – MC would probably have to face Private School without counting on Baxter’s help. He would already have left their friend’s group, and a three years gap can make a huge difference as teens. Like in “don’t wanna EVER be associated with a freshman”. Although I like to imagine there could be special occasions where Baxter would interfere on MC’s sake. But that wouldn’t mean they were friend.

Like in “I have a social status to maintain so back off and pretend we don’t know each other”.  

2- Think Tama and Qiu wouldn’t miss (and fret over) their beloved neighbor? Ha ha, the pinning would be so bad, those two would act so clingy and demanding as soon as MC would exit the bus, coming home from school…  

I can picture those three just like Rory with Lane and Dean : sticking together as much as they could, making do of every lil’ minute they can spend together before parting ways to schools.

Qiu and Tama would bicker for sure. And there would be times where they’d share their thoughts on MC’s decision to go to another school… and not always kindly worded. More like blurted out, out of exasperation, anger, angst, sadness, jealousy, bitterness (thank you, Pinning + crushing/besties tormented teens).

However, that doesn’t mean Tama and Qiu wouldn’t support MC. The change hurts, but they care for MC too. It just takes some time to deal with it, accept it.

Oh, and if MC told them about their “lovely” classmates and their struggles, even if it might only be a slight hint… you bet our Tama and Qiu would side up and plan some retaliation time.

Something like breaking in Private School to find one of MC’s bullies and threaten them… (just imagining Tama and Qiu cornering this bastard/bitch feels both so satisfying and full of comedy potential). Or just like the Chilton Ball’s episode where Rory goes with Dean and there’s delicious drama with Tristan…

There are so many Plot Bunnies to muse upon on that topic…

Also, the UNIFORM.

Chilton’s uniform is cute, I like to imagine MC’s would be similar or inspired by.

Got this fun lil’ idea where MC would dress Tama or Qiu with it, they’d look so cute…

The whole aesthetic and feels of those moments where Rory waits for Lane or Dean after school, sitting on a bench underneath the fall-colored trees, reading and sipping her paper cup coffee… it’s just so sweet and wholesome. That’s the mood I want to indulge in and would perfectly fit this OLNF crossover…
