And sex in general is obsolete and primitive its like an old timey hobby like baking sourdough bread or flint knapping knives or wearing a waxed handle bar moustache?

And on occasion like a root beer float or making mead, a human has sex for "old times sake." And like these nostalgic treats its like "well that was fun, but messy, and expensive!"

Except theres a few hyperfocus/science types who study sex as researchers as xenobiologists and do it all the time.

And there's the serious hobbyists like Riker (and other sex positive travellers) who chase it like collectors and basically are your weird uncle who infodumps about his collection of sex holos of the known universe hes working on and never fails chimes in about his experience with species #23.
